Maybe a bit much M8 Overkill. Similar to the M5 but not too familiar and easy to distinguish.

I'm in! Although for the X6M version. Will be just about time to upgrade from my 2017 M3!

No way under the sun unless they have really shortened the historical development lag for the M version. Even with computer modeling they still need real time testing to ensure the structural integrity - especially with the new CFR plastics. Remember the 3 series saga where the rear shocks were actually tearing out of the trunk shock support because some weight savings kook wanted to save 19 ounces? Expensive fix , especially considering the hit to the reputation. BMW is on a roll - they don't want to screw things up by rushing testing.

I hope to god they fix the school bus brake squeal up front and then put a real caliper in the rear. You know, like the M4 to cover the hideous single piston rear caliper or what's offered on the ceramic package.
You'd think for $110k+ they do this. Hell, Mercedes and Porsche do...

do i smell something different on gearbox plan, or is it just exhaust that makes shifting sound a bit different than f90 m5? m5 when shifts it kind explodes, while x5 sounds a bit like DCT with no gap in between gears

The F95 X5 M prototype has received the M nose and ear treatment as it's now wearing the production M double slat kidney grilles and M mirrors.

God it does make it look like a pig nose. And those slats are so thin all you see is the radiator and radiator supports. I hope it looks better when revealed.

I think it's because they're trying to keep costs down because that's also where the exhausts exit on the normal 50i. I'm actually sad to see that they're not closer together and more unique.

The wing mirrors are fine, it is just the camera angle and the shadow on top of the mirror causing it to look weird... look again
