Much that I love BMWs, I tend not to bother reading any news with an 'X' in it as I've no interest in SUVs, BMW or otherwise.
The current X6 has to be the ugliest car in the current BMW range - have you actually seen one in the metal?! - and this latest iteration looks like it's going to continue the trend

Interestingly enough it no longer borrows the X5's grille, as this one doesn't descend as low as the licence plate and is filled with fewer slats.

It is the same grill except the black portion (X5) is also covered with camo on the new X6.

Not even close. The new 6GT takes that honour. But thanks for coming in to share... despite ignoring every thread with an 'X' in it.

To be fair, it's hard to make an SUV look pretty - high centre of gravity/ground clearance, big wheel arch gaps, large, heavy etc. As the old saying goes, you can't polish a turd

If you look at the height of the grille compared to the height of the headlights and at the grille height/width ratio, the X6's grille definitely looks lower and it does have fewer slats.

Look the gap where the license plate is. It's bigger on the X6. On the X5 it barely fits the license plate. The grill is definitely shorter in height on the X6.
