It's growing on me. Hopefully fully grown by delivery in March. Only complaint...competition? really? Who exactly will be competing with this SUV? 5-10k for a marginal increase in HP, a few black parts and a bunch of silly looking badges? Nah

What I found odd was that the X5M/X6M was displayed in the back corner of the booth, behind a pillar and the BMW booth signage. For the NA debut it sure seemed like a weird place to put them. They also didn't have the regular X5 or X6 there at all.
FWIW The seats are definately more bolstered on the bottom seat cushion than the previous generation. I am 6'3" and 270 and it was not comfortable on my thighs. There is no adjustment either for these. |

Thanks for the note. When I was at the show, I was there before it opened to the public on Industry and Press Day, when I asked, they told me it was Tanzanite Blue II. Admittedly, I had never seen it before in person, only going off what they told me.... |

I cant wait for oem wheel offsets to be available so i can figure out to comp or not.. i want to have winter tires on 20's so may go with non-comp as i want individual paint anyway and would buy aftermarket 22's all around instead of staggered 21/22 on comp.

I hope it's the full catalog, otherwise I'll be disappointed

X5M rear is hyperbolic in exhaust area IMHO, X6M rear simply sucks.
Dual slat front grill does not substantially improve the huge grill. Not passing judgement to the vehicles as a whole, just on cosmetic front. Let's hope aftermarketers provide improvements. Would stick to F85 myself. |

[QUOTE=AndroidRobot;25506645]Haha, she should adore purple though. So it looks like the complete catalog will be available eventually (I'm guessing by mid 2021) but in August 2020 they'll have a limited amount of Special paints to choose from. Maybe purple, maybe not. Personally I'm waiting for the full catalog unless in August they already have my favorite colors available. I really like Le Mans Blue, Birch Green, Ägäisch Blue, and Laguna Seca.

Can someone please direct me to the vendor that offers paint-matched body parts to replace the awful orange reflectors sitting next to the front wheel wells?
I’ve seen some pics of the 2019 X5s in which those have been replaced (perhaps Android Robot’s Carbon Black ride was one I saw)? Thank you |

Briefly looked through the thread. Are these available in March?

I’m hearing maybe March, but more likely April. That’s the feedback from the dealership I’m working with on my order. I called BMW NA a few weeks ago to see if they had any better ETA and it was clear the guy I talked to had no clue. April is what most of the press releases said back in October.
It’s gonna be a long 4 months! |
