X5 M60i GCA Performance Exhaust
*New Member, First Post*
Here's a look at the new GCA Performance full cat back titanium exhaust, scheduled to be installed today. Ill follow up with installation pictures and some sound clips. This system comes with quad tips in a few different options (I went with the carbon fiber). The tips will need to wait for either a modified or new rear diffuser I think as the stock tips look to possibly be part of the bumper. Kit comes with a valve controller for manual open/close or factory operation. Going to post pictures and videos as well on IG @frozenm60i |

Nice! I ordered the downpipes and exhaust from them as well. Should be here tomorrow. Post clips when you get them.

Yea ill get a full youtube video in the next couple weeks for the cat back system. I'm planning on doing the downpipes as well but wanted to see the difference in stages.

My unofficial thought would be that I think they'd have to prove that the exhaust somehow contributed to a warranty issue being void and I don't see that happening just with an exhaust mod. Tuners on the other hand I would be more cautious about if you're concerned with warranty issues

I think that if you’re going to do the downpipes as well you should probably tune it, at least that was my plan. Stick with the cat back until I’m ready to pair it with the downpipes and a tune. Then you’ll be ready for an intake as well.

I've been driving my rs5 with downpipes and exhaust w/o a tune for 2 years and it's been great. I'm not looking for power right now, purely sound. And not worried about a cel, I can clear that with a scanner.

I wasn’t able to get it installed. The fully clamped setup actually has 2 flanges that connect to the downpipes that need to be welded and the exhaust shop doesn’t tig weld (titanium). I reached out to GCA and they are able to send me new front pipes with welded flanges but says it will take a couple weeks

I received the new front pieces with welded flanges on Tuesday, however I’m on a work trip for 2 weeks. I’ll be scheduling the install for the week of the 24.
Also, I went ahead and ordered the downpipes with high flow cats and will be installing those as well, but my plan is to do it separately to get some sound clips for everyone of the different configurations. |

I got the stainless steal version and am set to install next Wed. FrozenM60i is the flange only needed because of the titanium exhaust? or will the steel version need to be welded as well?

Made the appointment for next Monday so barring any issues I should be able to get some sound clips/videos over the following week

So the flanges are needed/used regardless, it’s the connection to the downpipes, but my shop (and pretty much no one around me) welds titanium exhausts. On SS you should have no problem getting the whole system fully welded which is what I would do. In hindsight I probably would have just gone SS and had it welded but here we are and the titanium looks cool.
