Passenger side mirror camera misaligned / tilted?

Has anyone seen anything like this before, I don't know if this is just software issue or hardware issue?

I had very similar, mine gone ( fixed ) itself after 2 weeks.
If your does not fix itself probably mounting inside wing mirror is loose.

Yup, my X5 is fine but this happened on my 3 series. I brought the car to the dealer to fix but they haven't been able to realign properly so I just gave up on it.

In summary, it seems that mechanical misalignment is NOT possible or at least not mechanically alignable. The cameras have an electronic alignment or possibly self-alignment procedure and while it seems dealers can trigger that, most of the time it was triggered upon and as a side-effect of a software update. Hence why we normally hear "took it to dealer, they updated software, now fixed" but note that this statement has never been correlated to any particular software version — so it's the update act, not the actual software version, that seems to fix. To be sure, we also hear "dealer updated software and it's still misaligned" regularly too.

Thanks Lexx, I found one of those threads and posted there already, mods should feel free to merge it with that thread. I was hoping it would fix itself, will drive around a bit to see but I wish this was something that we could fix with iDrive, with an option to force re-calibrate. I am not sure if it affects any of the safety features but so far I am not that impressed with lane keep assist.
