2009 Audi A4 in white, lowered with BBS LMs

I photoshopped these this afternoon... I am in love with the end result.

A4 exterior =

A4 performance =

I would have a hard time decided between the A4 and a 335i. I would have to convince myself that power/speed is not everything. Based on styling alone, the A4 blows the 335i out of the water, IMO. But then I think of the 335i and the fact that a simple tune can yeild plenty of HP and a 12 somethin 1/4 car is . To get those figuree out of an A4, you would need to drop heavy coinage on that thing.

Anyhow... here are the photos. I liked them so much I had to throw them in my signature.

Having had the S5 I'm actually not blown away with the A4. It's a lot longer than the old model and because of this it looks overly big and bulky, until I see a S-Line with it's 19" RS alloys I am very much sitting on the fence.

The only thing I am sure of is the interior, it's everybit as good as the S5 which meant miles better than anything BMW or Mercedes can produce.

The problem is that Audi's designers have made the car look nose heavy.

The character line running along the shoulder rises as it reaches the front end, and the "tornado line" running beneath the lower edge of the doors goes downwards as it nears the front. This makes the rear look pinched and the front end bloated. Meh.

It looks good in real life regardless of this though. There's so many of them in Europe already.

I think you meant it drops, no? I think it makes the front look very low and heavy too.

I'll tell you another reason why Audi's looks nose heavy. It's partially because of the grille but more because the headlights always cut just below the hoodline. This gives a very droopy, low look and makes the front look heavy.

Basically, all of the features are placed low on the front end. Nothing eats into the hood space and the hood has no features. I love the CS/new 7 series hood detail.

that looks fantastic !! i'm going to have to disagree that older audis look dated...i actually think they don't look as dated because audi never drastically changes their design.

Here, this is what I meant.

And yes, you're right about the lack of hood surfacing. It makes the hood look very fat and bland. Despite all this though, I have to say that the design itself isn't too shabby. It definitely looks upscale, and in the right colors (saw it in dark grey, ) it can really look good.

Meh. Actually for some reason the body lines on the side remind me alot of the current 3 series. A whole lot.

I see what you mean now. It's a good point. +1 on grey. I love the colour on a lot of cars now. It makes cars look aggressive yet not too loud, it's classy.
