It would be nicer if the roof was glass!

Looks cool but I see a lot of unnecessary weight added here. Why not just have a manual removal option?

Because people these days can't handle minor labour work. Similar to the fact that hard-top convertible becomes a main stream lately. And I am guessing targa buyers ain't bothered by these extra weight or else they'd spend their cash on other model.

Its more convertible then targa IMHO. Yes its clever how the one piece lifts off (similar to a hardtop on a Vert really), but you have a fabric targa piece and in the end a car that has pretty similar structure to the cabrio. Two independent sets of motors. Boo.

It is not like the old car where the glass slid back but the rear was a solid piece, nor the old old 911 Targa's which just had a piece to remove above your heads.

Other then the 'I want to be different crowd', not sure this is really going to make much of a sales impact.

I want a solid structure with a simple targa roof to remove (and optional fiberglass or other hard material there), and preferably in a Cayman. Our 370z's days would be numbered

I mean its cool. But the extra cash and weight suck. You want targa? Remove the lightweight piece by hand and put it in the trunk or garage floor. You want convertible get one of those. This is a targa/convertible hybrid....converga....

Cool, but silly.

It does give the car a nice profile...

As with the rest of the 991s, looks incredible. Not a targa guy but this car is great.
