Perhaps I got really lucky since my dealer had no idea what it was.

There is a $3000 off offer when financing a 21 xDrive via BMWFS - maybe that's part of the $3250?

No, in this case the OP is talking about the military incentive. You can only get $500 for that when BMWFS is used.

if in today's market you are getting anything over 6%, take it and run. The chip shortage is killing the buyer market. Uppper midwest i have been shopping for months and could barely get 6% in May for an inventory car. I was lucky to place order at 5% plus incentives before options started being removed. Chip shortage is really hurting inventory and dealers are charging what they want. A car with my options on the lot in MN dealer wanted MSRP. I laughed and walked and placed an order instead with local dealer who i believe gave me decent discount considering. They are the largest BMW around and they literally had 4 X5 on the lot, that's it. normally they have 60. so it's not the same market as it was 4 months ago and def not what it was in 2020. You can wait to recovery happens or lower your expectations on either the discount or the inventory on the lots. I wanted a very specific set up so it was impossible to find after 4 months of search in all apps and calling like a list of 20 dealers in the entire midwest all way to PA. I almost bought another brand just to be done. Anyway, I am glad I didn't and can't wait till it arrives in a few weeks.

What makes up the $2000 BMW incentives. Generally that is the APR credit but you can't finance or lease with BMW and get the $3,250 PenFed incentive. That drops to $500 when using BMWFS.

Congratulations. Good luck, enjoy and be safe.

Yea. There are a bunch of folks on here saying they are getting $3250 penfed or military. That's not how it works.

You are absolutely correct. If you use BMWFS (Lease/APR credits) the Penfed rebate drops to $500.

If you are Penfed and BMW loyalty and take the APR credit you'd have $1k + $2k +$500 = $3,500.

If you paid cash or used your credit union/bank then you would take the $3,250 Penfed.

We did not finance with BMWFS. Going with a credit union for 1.99% @ 84 months hence we were able to get $2000 BMW credit + $3250 Penfed. The deal came out to 19% off MSRP after discount and rebates.

Oh you used the cash credit. And not the $2k APR credit. Yes that would work.

Most of the time there is a cash credit that matches that APR credit but not always.

BMW doesn't post the cash credits on their site, but buyers should always check with an insider.

Interesting since BMW is not currently offering a cash credit that I know of. It could be your dealer actually offered it and not BMW. If it was BMW, then the PenFed likely would drop to $500 also although we recently saw an example of where the dealer made a mistake and gave the buyer the $3,250 PenFed along with the $2,000 APR credit for financing with BMWFS. More than likely BMWFS will reject that and the deal will have to eat the difference.

In some regions they are offering cash rebate $.

It was surprising to me but good to hear.

A neighbor of mine had some fraud issues and was insistent on not giving his social security to anyone. I told him he would lose out on APR cash and that's when I found out they do offer cash rebates.

Considering coming back to BMW with a 2021 X5 m50i...perfect packaged except I'm not a fan of spending $3500 for the B&W sound upgrade.

MSPR of $97,795
6% off of that puts it at $91,927
$2k in rebates from prior BMW owner and USAA.
Money factor of .00093 at 12k miles puts payment at $1369.

Is this a good deal?

that 6% includes the incentive or no? If no, that seems like a good deal to me right now.

Very good. Still doesn't make sense that they offered the cash incentive and the full PenFed. I think that was a mistake on the dealer's part but don't know for sure. Even it was, it won't come back on you.

Im USAA as well but it shows their car program was discontinued a while back, care to share?

That looks a little high depending how VA calculates sales tax. At least they arent marking up the MF. Have you plugged your number into https://leasehackr.com/calculator?

As you mentioned, USAA discontinued their car buying service and no longer facilitates the military discount for BMW. You can get it by being a PenFed member for at least 60 days, using ID.me on TrueCar or from BMW's site.
