Does anybody know the torque specs for the bolt holding the steering wheel in place?

Finally arrived, I have been waiting for 3 months for the piece of art. the original BMW part with active lane assist, adaptive cruise control, pressure points for ACC, m color stitching, m color in the center, CF paddle shifters, and heating under the leather part all active just like the original wheel.

Sadly, I will not install it and I have to offer it for the next community member to enjoy it. PM for a price delivered to your door in the lower 48s.

Your airbag is not grey/OEM? Do they re-wrap the OEM one by any chance?
Very nice wheel BTW

I have a creaking noise coming from the silver plastic trim behind the air bag/horn leather part. The steering wheel is flexing a tiny bit and produces a creaking noise from the plastic trim piece against the grey colored part behind the trim piece. This silver trim piece also goes around the buttons on the right and left side of steering wheel. I can place my finger on the silver trim piece and stop the creaking noise.
I would like to remove the air bag and trim piece to try and remove the noise. Bugs the heck out of me.
How much is involved in removing the air bag and the trim piece? I know the battery certainly needs to be disconnected before removing the air bag.
Thanks
.

All functions work (heating, pressure sensors and vibration) on the one I posted and is currently for sale.

Installed a custom steering wheel purchased from HZX540e a couple days ago. Here's a picture installed. It's very sharp and fits the interior well! Everything works as expected and feels great! This is honestly how the wheel should've come from the factory. Not sure how BMW misses the mark as compared to Amg or Audi RS here...

Seemed like an easy DIY, but I had the dealer install it to be safe. We did encounter a defective paddle to which HZX540e was amazing to work with to resolve. Ended up swapping to the OEM G8x M3 paddles and now fitment is perfect.

Many thanks to HZX540e for his attention and assistance. I truly appreciate it. My dealer was also amazing. One of the best mods I've ever done as I get to enjoy every second I'm in the car!

Enjoy in good health. It looks great especially with those peddles. Sorry about the glitch, I'm glad we were able to work it out quickly and to your satisfaction.

The vendor was amazing and responsive, not only do they make great products they stand behind their work and treat customers right.

yes works like stock. maybe a little better as sensitivity seems higher. only drawback is it's only on the leather parts so I had to get used to keeping hands on side of wheel instead of on the top

Is there a magic trick for taking the airbag off? I watched the videos but the thing wouldn't budge.

P..S. Yes I disconnected the battery first.

Yes there is a tool that goes in the side and releases the metal spring clip. They sell them on Amazon. People just use screwdrivers as well.

After disconnecting the battery hit the start button and that should shut everything down.
