It is now in awaiting carrier assignment phase. They did finish production on the scheduled date for people wondering about the timelines.

I think we will receive the car in 2-4 weeks. It needs to travel to west coast.

Nice! I'm in LA and my car arrived almost exactly 4 weeks from that point

BMW Genius gave a tentative date of June 20th. Roughly matches with your timeline.

I was told by the CA week 24 production for mine, on the tracker is showed scheduled for production. Where do you see the week is scheduled or dit you call genius for this info? TY

Either your CA or BMW Geninus will have the info for you. Once you reach "production begin", the VIN will be assigned. At that point, you will get the production (end) date. My 45e was BW 21 and production finished on 5/26 and in "awaiting for carrier assignment" on 5/27. Genius said, it's scheduled to leave the factory on June 1 by train, arriving CA Dispatch by June 14 and Dealer by June 17. My order was originally submitted on 4/30.

My VIN has been assigned and BMW saying June 2nd it will be finished. Question- at what point did it change status on the mygarage page? Mine is still stuck in 'Production Begins'...

It is not stuck, Production Begins just means that the VIN is assigned and parts are ordered/allocated. Average time is too weeks or so but it can be much longer/shorter. Once the actual assembly starts it will be very quick, it is only on the line for less than a day.

For mine, once in "production begins" and VIN assigned, it was stuck in that status for 12 days. The status started changing 1 day before the estimated production end date. I am in "awaiting for carrier assignment" as of today

Does anyone know if the rail/carrier info is available now? I recall there is a number we can call and track the shipment progress.

I called BMW Genius to get the tentative date. Not sure about more detailed tracking. My car is already in Dispatched From Factory phase. I assume it is on the train.

For anyone in production status, trust the scheduled completion date. Mine was on the spot.

Dispatched from Factory means it is on the way to get transported. You should go to At the Port status next and then In Transit once it is on the train.

Aloha. My 2021 45e just rolled off the assembly line and is about to start it's journey from South Carolina to Hawaii....long transit (much longer than for the build). I spend a long time looking at the Phytonic Blue color...the color on the website build page seems to be way off...I have seen at least 1 in Hawaii, but from a distance...being in Hawaii I went with the lighter Canberra Beige vs. the Cognac...hoping those with Phytonic Blue exterior are happy with the color? Just wanted to confirm....too late to change my mind now as the vehicle has been dispatched from the factory, but hoping to get reassurances that it was the right decision. Thanks for your input.

Aloha - me again.

I found out a few days ago purely by accident that due to the current COVID-related semiconductor chip shortage that BMW swapped out my HK sound system with their "upgraded" - from base system - 676 "HI-FI" sound system...I've read very negative feedback on this and other forums about the 676 system and am a little upset with BMW for them not notifying my dealer or me about the swap out....but unless I wanted to wait for the HK system to become available, I guess there wasn't much choice in the matter. Other bummer is that the speaker config of the 676 sound system offers 2 less speakers, but again...not much I can do about it now. So, with that said, I'm looking for recommendations from the wise people on this forum in terms of the best upgrade options available. I've already reached out to Bimmer Tech and I can order their Alpha One speakers ($1,200 for all speakers except the 2x rear tweeters). They are very helpful and I would recommend them to anyone with a similar need. However, they don't yet have an Amp that is compatible .... they are saying they may have an Amp that will work with the new 45e in a few months. Was wondering if anyone has other options for swapping out the BMW Hi-FI Sound System in a 45e with a far better system? Thank you for your assistance!

No, it is not true. As long as you finance or lease with BMWFS (and aren't using an incentive which may preclude loyalty) you can get the loyalty incentive on an ordered vehicle.

My dealer gave me $1000 loyalty rebate even though I'm not eligible for it (no BMW in household) - is this normal or possible?

They probably either just called it loyalty as a dealer promotion or fudged the documents to get the loyalty incentive from BMW.
