Hi everyone!

I ordered my X5 x40i on April 19th in San Francisco. It's been stuck on Awaiting Carrier Assignment since May 10th. Reading other posts, I figured it would be delivered by next week but I called BMW Genius and they said June 2nd. Am I crazy or does this seem like super long? I'm getting so impatient! [IMG][/IMG]

Seems like normal timing to California. Generally takes 2-3 weeks to make the trip.

Damn that does seem long for assignment. Mine will be completed on the 17th and is also coming to San Francisco. Hope it doesn't take that long!!

I'm in SF Bay, took delivery of my 45e last Friday. Awaiting carrier 4/15, hit my dealer 5/6. Worth the wait!

Ask you salesperson for the transport report.

Mine was ordered April 3 and is supposed to arrive in Richmond on the 17th. I'm then told it can take another week to get to the dealer in the Peninsula. It was about two weeks to ship.

I'm in the east bay. Completed production 4/30. Supposed to arrive in the distribution center in Richmond 5/17. The shipping is taking longer than the production! Hoping to get mine this week…

Have you gotten confirmation that your X5 made it to Richmond? I keep calling (they are so nice about it) the genius line and it still hasn't scanned in at the Richmond Processing Center.

I have not heard anything and I didn't call today. My sales person is off until tomorrow, so I will ping him tomorrow or Thursday to see if he has an update on delivery. It is so close now! I'm won't believe everything made it into my build until I see it.

Which is why I have opted for the PDC option. Did not want to wait around for weeks, and still paying for a rental. It should be in my possession a few days after final assembly. Besides, it's a good excuse to take a road trip.

If you love hitting the refresh button every 5 min on MyBMW, like I did, try this....

Call 800-497-2919, select option 2 and listen to prompts.
Enter bill of lading (not entire #) start with TTGX (8849) select #
Enter next 6 numbers and select #
If everything entered correctly, select 1 (2 if you need to reenter)

You will get either latest departure or latest arrival along route. Be mindful that computer voice prompt isn't always clear. You can select 1 and it will repeat.

I believe my X6 left Ottawa, KS at 3:15pm local time (1pm PST) today. I have an arrival date of 5/24 to San Bernardino Hub. Then 3 to 5 days to dealer and 2 to 3 more days to Prep so close!!

Oh man this thread is giving me anxiety. My build is to be completed on May 23rd. I guess I am lucky if I can get the car in mid June in Los Angeles.

Here's a snapshot of mine. First sequence is TTGX# then 988861#
After confirming, there's a bit of a pause, then the numbers are repeated, with an arrival or departure location, date and time.

I just checked and it has a 7:26 departure from Emporia, KS

My salesperson told me I should have the car this week on 6/1 or 6/2! He also said that I was in the last batch of orders before they halted production on SUVs due to the chip shortage

Call Sean at Mountain View BMW- I ordered just before all the freezing of features, so I'm not sure. But I was nearly 10% plus incentives back then. Tell him David M. sent you. I'm in contact with him almost daily as I wait for my X5 to come in.
