Upgrading to 2021 X6m from 2021 x6 40i
Currently have a X40i M sport 5K miles, MSRP was around 77K, currently owe 67K on it.
Dealer will take the car back, nothing owed and sell me an X6M Competition 127K MSRP and take off 2K. Is this a decent deal? They are basically giving me 67K for my trade in. The X6M is "new" but it had 600 miles on it when I test drove it. Seems the owner or manager has been driving it around. Has comp package, exec package, DAP, B&W sound. First off 67k for the X40i yeah take that all day.
With today's market, I couldn't even help my sister get a deal on a Kia Optima last week. The sales guy told me out right NO and told me they haven't had a deal since late last year. If the price fits your budget then I'd say do it. Also I'd suggest the X5M Comp F95. I mean just look at them in person. HEHEHE

if you're not in rush to get into another car, my suggestion is wait few months for this worldwide supply chain issue to improve which will allow you to get far deeper discounts.. on the other hand it cost you nothing to tell him you will take the car at 117K and a wash on your car.. worst thing he can say is NO.. and if he says YES, given today's car market condition i'd say you'd be WINNING!

I really don't like like that it has 600 miles on it. This is during the crucial break-in period and who knows how many times it was floored around town. The range on the calculator showed 331 miles for a full tank when I drove it tho. Also why is the X6M still an F chassis code when the rest moved to G? |

sorry, i missed the part that car has 600 miles.. then for sure i stand by my original recommendation of 117 or possibly even less.. In normal conditions these cars that have few hundred miles or more that were given as test drives or god knows what are usually deeply discounted.. good luck!!

Never mind. Test drove it again and paid attention to the seats more.
I don't know how you people find the hard and aggressive bottom seat bolsters in this car comfortable lol. |

I decided to stop being a little bitch about the seats and did the upgrade to the x6
Drove it for 4 hours today and they were a lot more comfortable than anticipated. Loving the car. Wound up getting full value for my trade in, 4K off sticker and ultimate care +1 for free. Not a great deal but every other dealer in NY would Not budge off sticker. Then again, I got out of my x6 40i clean, owned around 67k on it. So while I didn’t get a full deal on the M I got much more on a trade in 6 months into my loan. |

Life's too short to have regrets. If spending some money doesn't impact any other finances and it makes you happy then its money well spent imo...
the seats do break in after awhile and soften up. I didn't find them too stiff but they def. loosened up after a year. Alan

congrats!! I didnt comment yesterday but i was going to say i think these seats are amazing and as one would expect in a sports car.. nice high bolsters that actually do their job and prevent you from sliding.. a vast improvement over F85 seats if you ask me. Also body size does play a roll.. for someone 6' below 200lbs this should be a nice snug fit.. anything more than that i can see where comfort may be an issue.
