Leather Steering Wheel/Dash & Perforated Seats
Hey Guys,
New 5.0 owner that I picked up a few weeks ago and have been lurking a bit while tracking. Anyone have any good suggestions on the following: - Best product and frequency to keep leather steering wheel feeling like new, at least as much as possible? - Same can be said for leather dash/door panels. Something different here due to sun exposure? - Lastly, my last Q8 had perforated seats that ended up looking pretty dirty by the time I turned in, as the holes looked dirty/clogged. Any tricks of the trade in cleaning this? Thanks in advance! |

I live in Texas and have no issue keeping my perforated seats clean. I use Griots Leather conditioner weekly alongside some other leather conditioners depending on how I feel. A good vacuum can keep the holes clear of dirt.

Thanks! Does that product keep the matte leather look the same and not shiny?

I heard that leather products don't really work on automotive upholstery because they're coated in something like vinyl. Unless that coat has been removed, I'm not sure how these leather conditioners are working.
Can anyone explain this? Thanks |

+1 on Griots, and they have a spray-on "refresher" that works between full leather treatment to extend the treatment. Have run the gamut from Zaino to BMW's, Lexus' and Audi's OEM products, and haven't found anything better.
