Could you please PM the dealer and the sales person you been talking to? Was it a custom order or a vehicle in stock?
Thanks!

All custom.

Do you need OR or CA?

Seems like you need to ship to Alaska? Should be cheaper from OR.

Yes OR will be cheaper to ship, but if I can get 10% in CA vs 8% in OR, I have no problem to drive 1000 miles from CA to Tacoma,WA and then ship it to Alaska.

One dealer in WA told me that their margin is around 6%, how true is this?

Ha..I can get you what you are looking for from OR.

WA dealers are joke. Don't pay them any attention. Just came back from my F15 service, they almost lost the car. Couldn't locate the car for two hours. I couldn't even locate on the connected app. Locate the vehicle feature was disabled. Might be due to s/w upgrade they did over the weekend.

PM me.

The MSRP was $82,145 plus $995 delivery
The invoice was around $77,216.30
The price was $2k under invoice - around $75,145 (around 9% msrp)
Then I got $4,500 ($1,000 Ultimate pre sales tax and $3,500 Road home event after sales tax).
NJ Sales tax of $4,892 and some small license fees, registration (dealer removed the doc fee of $699)
The Out of the door was around $75,200.

In a few months, I am getting the $7,500 tax credit for the personal taxes.

The cost of the car (after tax incentives) is $67,700, which is a more than reasonable cost for an X5 45e fully loaded.

Then, if you are business owner, you can run it through the company getting depreciation or full depreciation (Sec 179) and benefit of the 199A deduction (probably to be removed by Biden next year), so even better for your personal taxes.
Finito84, can you share the dealership/salesperson with me too? Thanks!

Just want to say that following Finito84's post I was able to get around 9% before the 2.5k financing rebate (but didn't get any other rebates since I didn't own BMW before nor went to any events).

Overall I think it's a decent deal. Thank you Finito84.

I just wish that I had known that the standard "adaptive full led" came with dummy bulbs and only half or the iconic BMW DRL's before committing the order. Oh well, at least I saved some money .

Good time to order is Dec since they will throw incentives. Since you are west coast, lock in Dec incentive for 90 days lock and even if you take delivery in Jan end or Feb first week, you can use Dec incentives.
Portland here -- any recommendations for the best PDX dealer to buy from? I use Portland BMW for service occasionally but have not purchased anything from them. Thanks!

Sure there is.

PM me. I ordered two cars and helped two other friends to order from a NEW portland dealer. Both of our cars went into production 2 days after ordering.

Now the wait begins

Is there a local BMW dealer other than BMW Portland, Kuni BMW or BMW Salem? Would love to know if there is!

There is for sure.

Didn't you order from BMW Portland?

Did they mess up your order too?

I did, should be at dealer in next week or so. So far so good, no issues thankfully. But if there’s another option for future I’d love to know!

If someone is interested in a South Florida dealer, I am happy to report that I finally took delivery of my X5 45e and my local dealer did honor their 11% off msrp before rebate deal.

I ask my Client Advisor if we could extend this deal to other and he said he could at 9% off before rebate.

So without negotiating you can get 9% off from him. After that depending on their mood you may be able to strecht it.

This was a deal on a new order, not an inventory car.

My feeling is that they want higher margin from the inventory cars, because these are targeted to 'impatient buyer' who are not willing to wait or do the research to get better deals.

anyways PM me if you want his infos.

Phil.

I'm in Oklahoma City. Was offered 3% off MSRP before loyalty and finance incentives on order. Have reached out to other dealerships in region but thus far response is that 5.5% margin to MSRP and not interested in any further discounts on a popular car, especially to give up a build slot.

The dealer that I bought my m50i in Pennsylvania would likely deal with you. If you want to get your car shipped. It would work out better in the end if they give you 10% off before incentives and you just pay for shipping.

You should be able to do much better than that. Many people are getting 8-10% before incentives. Expand your geography

I got a deal from a Central Coast dealer. I'm driving down 4 hours to his dealer cuz I couldn't get anyone in the Bay Area to deal like him. Special order too (talked to a few that won't offer much discount on a special order). From a dealer standpoint, you'd think a special order would be the easiest deal. You know it's not gonna sit on the lot and eat into your floorplan either. If you are getting a higher priced one, don't stress too much on the exact % you see people getting. My $ discount was the same, but the % changed depending on what the MSRP was. But no matter what, it should still be over 5%.

Does anyone have a MD dealer (or surrounding area) they were able to get to 10% or more + incentives? My first attempt I'm at a messily 6.2% + incentives.

Thanks for posting, shopping the Bay Area dealers can be hit or miss. Will PM you for details. Am interested in placing an order soon and hope this dealer is still in that ballpark.
