Just for the month of January 2019. 400-450 X5s per day is their target. The factory runs 24/7. There is downtime in between shift changes.

Damn that’s a lot. Sounds like they have a success on their hands. I seen two today, a few minutes after leaving the house. Enjoy it now before the G05 X5 wave hits.

What percentage is exported? I read somewhere between 70 and 80%.

I just took the factory tour. They told us there are two 10 hour shifts with 4 hours of maintenance and other activities to get the lines ready to do it all over again. Quite impressive. We saw the X3s and X4s. Unfortunately, they don't have a tour of the X5 production line.

A shift and B shift (graveyard). We saw the body shop, and paint shop in hall 50 (X5/X6) after PCD in the Summer of 2017. Pre-production models were being produced of the G01 in hall 52 (X3/X4) so no tours of it were being offered and that was fine as I had seen it twice before.

I have toured Plant Spartanburg nearly a dozen times since Z3 production began.

The impact on the local economy in the upstate of SC has been absolutely HUGE! The construction of the original plant was just after most of the textile industry left the area. The naysayers of an automobile assembly plant have been eating crow for a lot of years. Billions of dollars have been put back into the local economy by this plant. I just hope the current administration does screw things up with the tariff nonsense.

They are not usually 1/4 or less of the X3. On the other hand if that the level of X5 churn outs, nowonder some of tthe h misses we are seeing those are serious targets

I see quite a few X4's around where I'm at, I think they've been getting more popular lately, same with the X6

Hi SCA, thanks for the numbers. Hard to imagine over 12,000 G05s being produced every month. Amazing.

As you seem to know a fair bit about the factory and production, wondering if you know when the MY20 changeover will take place? I know it's usually July-ish.

This... ^. End of July, first of August is generally when the new model year begins which coincides with the return of Plant Spartanburg associates from a two week summer vacation. We will know the official start of production (SOP) for MY (model year) 2020 come late April to mid-May.

Ours was one of those January builds and we just got back from doing PCD where we saw the X3/4 Hall portion of the plant. It was amazing and the size of the campus overall is staggering.
