I don't know what it does. I started navigating on Tom Tom expecting it would pop up directly when entering the car but it didn't. Still had to open CarPlay and chose the Tom Tom app. Will give it another try with Apple Maps. |

When starting navigation with Apple Maps outside the car and getting in it goes directly to the car and starts in the HUD. But not on the central screen. If a give the voice command "CarPlay" it is directly in Maps and it navigating to the distinction I entered before getting into the car.

I could fix missed steering wheel auto heating function by deleting and re-adding my profile. Now I can see the menu options back on both Auto Habit as well as the Climate rule.

Did you have to enter all your preferences again? Or are they stored in the cloud and are back when you reinstall the profile. |

Can those of you who have 11/2020.xx check and see if you have Passenger Climate Control Rules/Automate Habits? See my video here.
I had a 2021 X3 30i loaner a few weeks ago and it had the same options for climate control rules for both the Driver and the Passenger. It had the exact same settings for the Passenger that are shown in my video for the driver. I tried to see what iDrive version the X3 was on but there was no place to view the iDrive version that I could find. I also couldn't find the option to check for updates either. I suspect BMW got tired of people constantly pinging their servers to check for updates. So, they probably removed that feature/option so THEY could control when the vehicle checks for updates. Just my theory... My 2020 X7, which is currently on 07/2020.54, doesn't have any Passenger Climate Control Rules. |

I have RULES FOR CLIMATE CONTROL for steering wheel heating and seat heating/cooling for driver only. Interestingly, I could've sworn it used to be labeled AUTOMATE HABITS, and this is the same iStep version since I took delivery in December. hmmmmmm still, i don't recall ever having these rules for the passenger.
