Hi looking at new LCI option list and there is now no rear entertainment option or tv option. I just don't get it. WTF BMW, its a high end vehicle and some owners want to spec their cars out fully.

It was on initial G05 spec list so why not now? Anyone with UK ordering knowledge know?

They change the specs all the time, bigger issue for me is that we can't order the 40i in UK - WHY.

That seems odd. The X5/X6s in this area are the 40i by a great margin.

40i available in X6 but not X5 - in UK.

I get the changing of specs but TV was standard in e53 then options in e70 which I've owned for 12 years since new, option on F15 (which I never truly liked), option in G05 pre LCI but now no longer. I just don't get it. TV as option and pay for what you want serves the customer base, but to remove accessory altogether on a premium car is just counter productive IMO.
I'm trying to understand the eSIM option and whether they (BMW) think people will just mirror phone to access TV/video etc., is way forward, but from what I understand there still is no straight way to mirror your phone to BMW screen so you can watch stuff - (albeit stationary -- VIM another topic, especially on LCI that still cant be coded yet)

Comments happily received if I've got wrong impression on eSIM/mirroring.

Don't think there is demand for those anymore. My sister just bought at Escalade with rear screens. Those are never used as kids are busy with their tablets. Can't imagine any adults sitting in the back wanting to watch a movie.

Agree about not having options but also happens during the cycle of the model not just on update, fog lights and levers in boot disappeared from previous model. Luggage compartment package where cover disappears into floor of boot has disappeared from LCI as has comfort access to rear doors. If they can get away with it they will, not only BMW all manufacturers do it and from the customers point of view no logic behind it but we still buy the cars.
