X5 m50i ordered !

Finally ready to retire the e70 x5m for the Mrs. She couldn't wait another year for the x5m and we actually ended up cancelling our 50i order this Feb.

Ordered a tanz. ii m50i with white/blue full leather and blue alcantra.

Exec package, dynamic handling, glass, accousitic glass, upgraded audio etc..

Allocation was for first week of August with performance center delivery.

Anyone else order the m50i yet ?

Wow congrats. Did the dealer give you any discounts on top of any BMW incentives?

That's going to look fantastic. If I were to do it again id got Ametrin over Blue + Ivory fully leather with Piano Black trim, 20" wheels (due to lack of 21" tires) fully optioned just like mine is.

edit: did anyone noticed how acoustic glass went form $150 last year to $300, now it's a $600 option? worth every penny regardless.

My dealer told me they wouldn’t see allocations till early July. Time to call them back. I’ll be ordering as soon as they’ll “let” me.

Would love to know what you got off MSRP - not including any incentives.

This is nearly identical to my plan and order for the M50i. except I’m going with the air suspension I was told by three dealers the allocation from mid to late July so I am unable to order this time. Where did you order from? Where there any discounts off MSRP

Zero discount off MSRP, ordered it from Fairfax bmw in va

I was also debating on air suspension vs. dynamic handling .

Coming from a x5m we figured we'll take handling over comfort.

I have air suspension on my svr and the lowering at entry is pretty nice and love the lowered stance when parked but since the X5 is a bit easier to get in/out of for my wife who's 5'1 we didn't go with 2 axel air

We were ready to place our order, but currently the local BMW Center is only willing to discount at 3% for first production. Will shop around and/or wait until the fall.

That's more inline with what I was expecting. Bigger discounts likely won't come until late this year

Now the OP is a man who really wants the M50i ! No discount off list price.A Infiniti dealer back in '16 wanted MSRP when I was shopping for a Q50 for the wife. I told him sorry, it's not a Ferrari. Another dealer gave excellent discount. Same here - no need to pay list for any BMW.
Just wait a few months.

Does the airsuspension completely knock out the M suspension and all its benefits. Or do you just loose certain sporty handling parts.

Air and M suspensions are mechanically mutually exclusive.

As a former BMW center employee, it is doubtful buyers will see much of a discount until late Oct, early Nov. For whatever reason most centers seem to have the mindset this vehicle (M50i X5) is going to be a low production vehicle. It will NOT be... anymore than the X3 M40i. Standard production.....

I'm sure a few dealers will offer steep discounts (relative to everyone else) who deal on volume vs higher margins. I believe you are correct, saying that. When I ordered my initial X5 no one would negotiate, then when I placed the second order, I found a good dealer to work with and got what I'd call am acceptable deal ($12k off with incentives).

We have a 2016 F85 & 2017 F15, received 14-15% off both.

14-15% is much better than my 12% there's no reason to ever pay sticker on a mass produced car

Do we know what is the difference between invoice and MSRP. Found a dealer that is able to do a fixed number above invoice but I don't know what that translates into percentage off?

What is the fixed number above invoice?

I confirmed with my dealer that these can now be ordered. He said I am the only one that has asked about it and he was surprised to see that ordering has been open a while.

It doesn't seem like people are beating down the doors to order these. As such, no reason to pay anything near invoice. Start at 10% off sticker!
