Folks, this is a SUV and NOT a sports car, drive accordingly and anticipate stops by looking ahead and allowing the car to coast and for it to use the little regenerative breaking it has along with engine breaking to slow the car down. Allowing regenerative braking engages the alternator which in turn charges the batteries. The AGM batteries can last nearly a decade when properly cared for. |

I currently have a 2023 X6 M50i with 17,000 miles. I brought the car in today due to a flat, and when we took the wheel off, the brakes are already in need of replacement.
My prior car was a 2019 X5 40i, and when I retired it, it had 65,000 miles, and had 5mm left on the brakes. Only difference in driving is 0-60.. LOL, but other than that, not sure why or how they could have worn out so quickly? I don’t ride the brakes, and not coming to screeching haults at every stop. What is everyone replacing the pads and rotors with? OEM options, or aftermarket? I was thinking drilled rotor.
