This is clickbait
Double-clickbait specifically. What I mean is why is it the case that the programmable buttons on the dash (6 or 8, depending on model and year) can only be assigned a single function? Yes, it's cool that you can program them to be something other than radio stations, but why only a single one? We've been living in a double-click world for many years now (and even a triple-clicks are known to exist), so why can't we program both a single and a double click function to these buttons?
I guess Favorites is kind of supposed to help in this area, but I never figured them out. This has been on my mind since I got my first BMW, a 335i in 2008. |

I don't store radio stations there. I keep my presets as an input and scroll via the steering wheel. You can always use voice commands to get to a particular radio station.

Mouse buttons don't seem to have any trouble differentiating between a single or double click and they don't even sense the finger is present before any clicking. |
