It's a bit more luxurious car. But in the end it just a choice, I can't see how you can go wrong with either car. |

You should comb through the X3 G01 forum before buying one. There is a driveline vibration that BMW is not able to solve. Search for my post where I uploaded the Excel summary file and read through it. That is what drove me to the X5 forum.

2. See video, one large benefit is increased low speed maneuverability - like parking and turning.

We wanted air suspension and the Integral Active Steering was package with it. Active Steering makes it a bit easier to pull into parking spaces in tight parking lots. It may turn out that we can get the air suspension separate from active steering in 2020, we'll find out sometime today when the dealer finishes getting the order into the system. |

That's a problem we never ran into with our X3. The only issue we had was that the flappers in front of the radiator had to be replaced after we got a check engine light about a month after we bought it.

You're one of the lucky ones, it seemed hit-n-miss but if you had it, you can't get rid of it from what I have read. Dealers threw drivetrain parts at the problem but it persisted and even when owners left the dealer after parts replacement and felt no vibrations, the vibes came back after a few months. There were a couple of owners who got BMW to buy their car back and one is in the lemon law stage over it.

There wasn't much of a discount. If you finance or lease, there is a $1200 discount. But I did get quite a bit over blue book trade-in price though so I'm not complaining, that's might be because they know they can move my X3 M40i in a day or two. The gave me a reasonable price on the previous trade-in I did with them too. If you end up going there, ask for James Jupiter. I looked at selling my X3 myself but once you factor in how the sales tax on the new car works vs. what the gave me for the trade-in it didn't make sense to me to go to all that effort. |

For 2019 M Sport Package is $5850 2-Axle air suspension was only available with IAS for $1300 (IAS $1150 + 2VR $150) M Sport Package = $5850 M Sport with 2VR + IAS = $7150 For 2020 They made 2VR and IAS a la cart but it comes out exactly the same M Sport Package is $5700 (reduced by $150) 2-Axle air suspension is $150 upgrade IAS is a separate option for $1150 M Sport with 2VR = $5850 (price of original 2019 M Sport Package without 2VR) M Sport with 2VR + IAS = $7150 Given that the new G05 is significantly larger than F15, there's a benefit with IAS as older model X5s have had poor turning ratios.
