I wonder why my dealers in South Florida are telling me they don’t have allocations and no orders can be submitted. Maybe I’m not worthy

Currently 22 orders from Florida, most of them are priority stock which means dealers ordered for their inventory. Not sure why your dealer does not have allocation.

Therefore the m50i is not a specialty vehicle as some dealers have claimed

No, deff not. if a dealer tells you that, just go elsewhere
Has bmw had specialty vehicles?
Even the M models gets deep discounts and the i8 had some crazy rebates just to push them off the lot.

They cant give the i8's away. My dealer has two and begged me to buy one at a stupid high discount. My dealer cant sell the M850i in coupe and convertible form either. They still have their original first models. I test drove the M850i coupe when I was comparing it to the M2C that I did purchased.

Not anymore than the 50i M-Sport. That said, the X5 50i was only 3% of all the new X5's when released. It took a long time to get mine. Mega BMW dealers up and down the east coast would have 30 X5 40i models and 3 X5 50i's in inventory.
The 50's have always been significantly harder to find than the 40's especially if you want one loaded up. Dealers will exploit that knowing you wont be dealer hopping.

The M850 is way too damn expensive. If they leased for about $1000/month they would sell, but not at $1500+. They need to knock 20k off the price.

There are 6 options for factory width 315/35 111Y tires, that's all. None of them are good, you get a choice of P Zero (RFT and non-RFF) Corsas (not for daily driving), Scorpion Verde (garbage tires), Bridgestone Alenza RFTs and one other. No Michelin tires available. If you go smaller in the front/rear then there are a few more options but good luck. Check Tirerack.com
I'd get the 22's problem solved

What configurator are you guys using? There's nothing on bmw.ca yet (and I don't see one for the US yet)?

No configurator - pricing guide (PDF Document). That's essentially what you'd be doing at the dealership if you go in and order now.

But keep in mind that Canadian options and packages are usually very different from US, martinf79 So the PDF is a guide, not a configurator. But OTOH, the Canadian website configurators are also often quite inaccurate, to the point of causing lost sales to dealers because of the confusion and resulting false set expectations when a customer walks in.
