The new 2025 X6

Hi.
Newbie here. I wanted to introduce myself. Driving an Audi Q8 now, but I am jumping ship and crossing over to the bimmer-landia.

Is there any info available anywhere what (if any) changes are coming to the 2025 vs 2024 model, other than the price hike?

I ordered a 2025 X6 earlier this week and wanted to use the "F12 trick," but I don't see any production week info.
I assume that "111" status will not change for me or a few more weeks.

Anyway, thanks for accepting me.

Welcome to the forum and BMW. There are no changes to the vehicle for MY25, just price and option differences.

Give Genius a call and they will give you your production week. Once you go to Production Begins then you can use the "F12" process to get your assembly date. Production Begins does not mean that assembly has begun but rather that a VIN has been assigned and parts ordered/allocated. This occurs about two weeks prior to your production week.

Welcome to the Forum! Congratulations on ordering your new X6! There's not really any changes from 24 to the 25 from my research. The LCI model is the 24 and there were good amount of changes then.

How is the Q8? I was once on the fence about getting one.

Thank you. This is my second Audi. Had Q5 and now I have 2019 Q8 prestige and it has been fantastic but unfortunately, it started to look dated compared to x6 hence I didn't go with another Q8.

Historically it was usually two to four weeks into the new model year in order to help dealer's move previous year's inventory. With inventory down last year it was done earlier and would imagine this year it will be the same. Hopefully within a few weeks.

So, I did call them. Told me, scheduled for the week of April 7-13. The website still does not show the date.
Also, do you happen to know if there is a way to add production # to the actual BWM app/garage? or do I always have to log in to the website?

The website will never show the date. Once you go to Production Begins then you can use the “F12” process to get your production date.

Not sure what you are doing now but the standard process is hitting Add Vehicle and add it using your production number. You always have to log in obviously as it times you out after awhile.

Edit: Did this on my phone while waiting for lunch in a restaurant and see I misinterpreted your question. The answer below hits the nail on the head.

I do not believe so. You'll need to relay on the website until a VIN is assigned to your vehicle. At that point, you can add the VIN to My Garage in the MY BMW app, though real-time (such as it is) production status still we require using the website.

Thank you. I am also ordering X6 in black carbon color. Could you post some of the photos of your X6?

Thank you! Gorgeous it is. I am so glad I chose that color. The deep/dark blue tones make it look so unique.

How do you know that there will be "not really any changes" for 2025? I am looking forward to getting a new X6, but I've been waiting for a serious refresh so I'll have a model that looks new for 10 years.

Welcome to the forum. The LCI was for MY24. The next generation of the X6, the G66, will begin production in April of 28, possibly Dec 27.

Another question: I went into "Scheduled for production" status on 3/18/24. The genius customer rep told me they scheduled the production for the week of 4/7/24. Shouldn't I already be in the next step and getting a VIN, given that I only have one week left? I understand this step happens 1-2 weeks before the actual date. Getting nervous. Maybe I am getting delayed? Any thoughts to ease my anxiety? LOL

Yes, you can almost be assured you are not scheduled for that week. Give Genius a call and ask what your production week is. It either got changed or more likely the first Genius just gave you bad information. That happens quite often and is why I recommend calling at least twice when getting the production information. Good luck and let us know what they say.

Clearly, I was given the wrong information or got pushed back. I just called again, and they told me it will start in week 17, April 22nd.

I ordered: x6 40i Carbon black/ black sensafin/ exec package/ Climate Control /DAPP/ M sport PRO/ trailer hitch/massaging seats. Do any of these tend to cause delays?
