Just wanted to take a minute to say "Hi" to all the X5M owners!
I just purchased a 23 X5MC and I'm extremely excited to have it delivered next week.
As a M8CGC & X7 owner, there truly is no better brand out there. For me part of the amazing ownership experience is having access to this forum! No other brand does this better. I'm anxious to learn & contribute to the X5M group.
I've already ordered from Ben at RG MSS springs & spacers to have this lowered, but if there are any other must have mods please share your input!
I will update pics once it gets delivered.
(Also this is a 23 with 25k miles, comp pack, drive pro pack, executive pack, extended leather. I paid $80,500.00 which I feel like is a fairly good deal. If there is such a thing &#129315
Thanks for looking.

Congrats. This mod is almost free and I really think it add some pop and detail to black cars. I just removed the emblems, sanded and gave them a few coats of red spray paint I got on Amazon.

congrats. Get some dustless pads asap. Trust me it makes a world of a difference with brake dust. If you are OCD about keeping your wheels clean this is a MUST.

I regret not doing it sooner dealing with dirty wheels all the time and annoying brake squeal.

Thanks Alan!
This will definitely drive me crazy, any suggestions on which dustless pads to purchase?

iSweep and EBC Red are the two options for this car.

If the pads on my car also squealed, I would also have replaced them to keep the wheels cleaner and the brakes quiet. My E92 M3 never squealed either.

Just a quick update: I just picked up my X5MC after getting the MSS springs installed.
Wow what a difference!! The ride has definitely improved, but the wheel gap hasn't improved much.
Here a few pictures when I picked it up, but will try to add more later.
Huge shot out to Ben @[r33_RGSport] he was extremely helpful. (contact:76551)

No, these are after install. After getting it home and inspecting it, I realized that it's definitely not as low as I would've expected. I'm disappointed, and working with Ben to try and trouble shoot. The springs were pre adjusted prior to shipping, so I guess now it's back to the shop.
Extremely frustrated to spend $1k in labor and be without my vehicle for a full day, and now have to take it back and do it all over again. 🙄

I too was a bit disappointed with the drop provided by the MSS springs. I wish they were more aggressive. I don’t think there is anything to trouble shoot though as I’m sure r33_RGSport did everything correctly. Fact of the matter is that they will not fully close the wheel gap even on lowest setting. They do settle after a bit providing a little more drop. I also purchased tires with a slightly thicker sidewall to further close the gap. Good news is they are very compliant and provide a nice, smooth ride.

I agree with the ride quality, but to spend $3k and have the vehicle look the same is unacceptable and the claims are mis-represented. Most of us buy these springs with the primary objective of closing the wheel gap, and that's what I was told these would do.
I really hope they settle a bit after I put a few miles on. Will keep you posted. Thanks for the reply.

Just a quick update: Ben from RG confirmed everything is installed correctly, and he's not sure why this didn't lower. He indicated that this is a new batch of springs from the UK and to give them a couple weeks to see if they settle.
I'm not happy at all! $3k to have a 2.5" wheel well gap! 😡

Will get hated for saying this but lowering this car doesn’t make sense to me. It’s an SUV - you are literally paying extra for ground clearance. I drove a used one w MSS here locally and it seemed to ride and handle notably worse than the stock one. Quite jarring over potholes. Could have been something wrong w it but only 10k miles and to me it just felt like the suspension ran out of travel pretty quickly. Despite a great color and price I passed bc of the suspension. Not sure if he did the control arms but tire wear would be another PITA if not done.

I don’t love the fender gap but after seeing this result and driving the MSS I’m ok w stock.
