"Scheduled for Production", How Long?
This G05 is my first time ordering a BMW. How long will the site say "Scheduled for Production" and what is next after that? Thanks.

Mine hit that on Friday, still there. The CA said it should go pretty fast, however from what I have been reading it could be a couple days to weeks before it moves? Click on the dots and a pop up says what the next step is. I hope it’s fast, I’m now paying the rental car fee, my beloved X3 was totaled and insurance for the rental expired. Wishing you (and me) good luck and a fast build.

From what I've seen/ read/ was told, basically call the automated number to get your ETA. Mine is 1/17. I was told basically production for me will commence and move from "Scheduled Production" on Wednesday, fly through everything, and then go to Quality Check. If everything is good/ you get lucky, its out in a day and then basically only has to get shipped.
I was told basically we should be afraid of Quality Check, not Scheduled Production. |

Mine was in that state for a day and then was in the next stage (Production Begins) from 12/18 until last Monday (1/7). It flew through the next few stages and went into QC the next day. Today it went through a few stages and is now in the Awaiting Carrier Assignment stage.
I think the speed at which it goes through the process depends on quite a few variables such as the specific build, parts availability, demand, etc. |

Ordered on 12/29 went to production begins on 1/4 and has been in that state since.
The robot lady says my completion date is 1/17. So I am hoping it flies through the rest of the stages very soon. |

Ordered mine mid December, was suppose to start 1-3, actually started production 1-10, completion 1-22. CA says parts availability hung it up. If all goes well I should have it by the end of the month, can’t wait, I have been driving a Tucson (lease) since November when my X3 was totaled.

That's a bit of a bummer. Between my wife and I we probably check the status 6 times a day to see if it moved! Guess we still have a while to go.

Ordered Dec 31st, started production Jan 4. "Awaiting carrier" as of yesterday
It all has to do with your specific dealers allocations. Those of us that got it fast got it because our dealers already had one in cue for production and just changed it to a customer order at the last minute. |
