Leather protection for Ivory white leather

My 1st post...

Have been getting great info on this forum. Thanks all for the sharing great info.

Getting delivery of my X5 this month with Ivory white leather. (my sales agent warned me that this is going to be high maintenance).

Want to add shield immediately after receiving my car. Want to do seat, steering wheel and possibly sensatec dashboard.

Based on my research I am considering to apply - Colourlock leather sealant.

Can someone share if this is the right choice or any better option.

Thanks in advance.

Hi guys, I'm currently waiting for X5, where Ivory Merino will be inside. I'm wondering what protection to choose:
1. Gyeon Q2 Leathershield - I have great experience with it for cheaper cars (VW, Skoda), but I don't know if it will be suitable for Merino https://www.detailingshop.cz/gyeon-q...alant-na-kuzi/
2. Colourlock Versiegelung (in US Colourlock Leather Shield) https://www.detailingshop.cz/colourl...-ochrana-kuze/

Does anyone have a tried and tested combination of Merino + Gyeon Q2 Leathershield?

Thanks!

The truth is, no matter what color of leather you choose, it will get just as dirty and any other color. With the lighter leather, you will have the benefit of seeing the dirt and then being able to clean it before it piles up to filthy.

Our White Marino still looks amazing and I simply clean it with a damp microfiber cloth.

Thanks for input. I received the car last week and applied the Colourlock's shield. was easy to do in half an hour. Will share in few months how its holding.

IMV Ivory White looks so cool that its worth the effort of caring. Thanks again.

Do you recommend the leather shield for black? The kit I found on Amazon had it recommended for lighter colored leather.

I'd ordered this before I saw your posts talking about how awesome Colour Lock is and now wondering if I should reconsider.

(Thanks for all your advice on this and the washing posts)

they have one for light and one for dark - if you buy it from a vendor with good customer service like the Rag Co they can advise and/or you can email the company directly as they also have great customer service.

Have been wearing dark jeans.
Pretty good. No dark stains. other than minor usual dirt.
3.5 months. 1500 miles. Always in garage.
I will do the cleaner at 6 months and redo the shield.
Highly recommend.

I tried the new Colourlock Top Life Coating on Merino leather. And it works great, easy to apply and the finish stays matte. I recommend shortlisting.

Have you used any of their cleaning products? I appreciate the recommendation, I'll be needing this soon.
