Post BMW X6 on 285/40/22 Tires

Hello everyone,

Has any of you tried this setup on your G05/G06 ?

285/40/22 Fronts
325/35/22 Rears

I want to upgrade my wheels and tire to that setup to keep ride quality and comfort but would like to know first if they would work with no rubbing. There seems to be plenty of space and I think I could pull it off.

That is the stock size many premium suvs use but I don't know why BMW always put very low profile tires on its cars.

Would appreciate the feedback.

Yes let's hope some of them reply, the gap on the car seems to be quite big even with the stock 22 tire size that's why I wanna put thicker tires.

Roads are not that great so ride quality should be much improved.

That will be about 4.7% increase in overall circumference for the fronts.
5.2% increase in the rear.

But with this upsize, the fronts and rears are identical in circumference as opposed to factory recommended size of 275/35 & 315/30.

My 22s are in and also dilberating about tire sizes now.

I totally agree my current set up is on aftermarket forged wheels and I really want some more rubber for year-round protection and tire choices! And Considering We drive SUVs, a little more rubber never hurt

I think we should go ahead and try with the sizes I mentioned before, I was waiting for someone to tell us their experience but I guess no one has tried them out.

I’m gonna go ahead and order the tires and let you know how it goes

The stock low profile tires are great on german autobahns I guess, but here we need some more rubber definitely.

I’m gonna go ahead and place an order on some Continentals, they are the only one’s I’ve seen in stock.

Perfect! With those widths those sizes should stretch a little and look great

Looking forward to seeing what happens with this.
I'm assuming this would work with the stock 22" wheels like the 742m

Just got a complete set of some Pirellis and should be coming in next week so I'll keep you updated on how they look installed.

I'm confident they won't rub or anything since there's people out there putting in 23's and lowering the car , so fitment should not be a problem.

This is awesome, I will be ordering them the second I see your pictures and hear your feedback as well man! I’m running 22x10 and 22x11 forged wheels (I made another thread on here you probably saw) And definitely want to put slightly bigger tires on!

Also, they 100% will not rub at all, it’s gonna be super interesting to see if they look perfectly stock and appropriate for our set up, I’m betting they look fantastic and ride even better!!

Sorry for all the time that has passed and I had no updates.

I got scammed with the pirellis and was finding new tires that's why I was away. I never would've imagined buying tires would be this stressful.

But I ended up buying new rims in the hunt for tires and was able to find some new Continentals as well. Not a big fan of the Contis but it is what it is I guess.

Everything should come in this week and will try to get them fitted asap so I can show you how it looks.

Sorry for the delays I'm desperate to see the end result.
