Uneven Suspension

So for the past few months (maybe longer) something has started bugging me. I have noticed my rear driver side (RHD) sits lower than the left.

I did think it was surface till i looked in different places and found that it was the same issue.

Today i measured it and the drivers rear sits 3/4cms lower than the left passenger side. Has anyone had the same thing?

I will follow up with images.

This has been an issue for over two weeks and you haven't been to the dealer yet? That looks way off. Do you have air suspension?

Appointment booked already with dealer - but waiting on a telematics unit which is on heavy back order so wanted them to take a look while it's there having the telematics unit changed.

It does look off yes - so was wondering if anyone else had any issues as such.

So the car went in today and took the service manager out to see it and she said;

"We need to measure and see if it's inline within the tolerance of it being down like that"

Sounded like waffle to me tbh - how is a car with self leveling suspension low on one side have "tolerance". There's something wrong somewhere obviously.

Warranty just ran out also - but if anything, and they say it's within it's "good" level - can i take it up with BMW UK?

Each country may have different rules, but if you report an issue before the warranty expires, but they can't get to it until afterwards, at least in the USA, you'd still be covered.

They ended up changing the suspension.

They said it was above the tolerance level (10mm) - it was actually 30mm lower.

Now i have an even backside 😂 Not sure what caused it though!

You didn’t find out what caused this issue? Could you please call them and let us know as it would be very helpful for future forum members to reference this thread/topic. I don’t mean any disrespect but it seems bizarre you didn’t ask what caused it.

I had similar issue with my G05, 8000km only, Driver side sits slightly lower than the others, bringing this to dealer and awaiting diagnostics
