I was using ACC and not speeding.

Electric engines supported combustion almost all the time but with minimal "usage" of power. Even on a flat road.

The funniest thing was when I started with a combined range ~560km, where the range of 65km was visible on electric.

I finished my trip with 80km of combustion range left! The whole trip was on one tank of PB95.

PS I drove back on Monday, the same distance with similar results - I've added the second photo now.
Very interesting data. The average speed here is definitely quite high, My guess is you are driving on motorway? the L/100km value after subtracting EV km, for motorway is on the high side (lower efficiency), but the kWh/100km value is very low (very efficient) even after subtracting ICE km. Does this journey involve a mountain pass? My guess is on the up stretch, adaptive is using ICE most of the time to climb, lead to high L/100km reading. On the down stretch, adaptive is using EV, not only gets a lot of regen, but also increase EV efficiency.

Yes,..however, the 'coasting' was the result of e-power! So, it really doesn't matter.

In other words,...what if one could coast from New York to LA,...all as a result of pressing the go fast peddle once! Coasting is nothing more than the maximum state of efficiency at a moment in time,...or travel!

45e here. Max so far on Electric has been 45 miles on a roundtrip in the summer. I live in Colorado so 500 foot elevation changes are normal and lots of recharging. During the winter, the max was about 38 miles roundtrip for the same trip.

My best was 45 after driving to Chinook Pass, elevation 5430, from sea level. Going used Eco Pro and coming back used Adaptive. At the end of the trip, I got 68.8 miles electric. The battery was almost empty when I got there but had 10 miles range when I left the freeway coming back. ChargePoint said it added 18.2 kWh and it cost $2.38. Used less than a quarter tank of fuel. 166 miles round trip. Using eelnoraa's formula I got 24.31 gas and 4.39 m/kWh. Car gauge said 41.5 and 10.6.

You doing it wrong. If you drive car in reverse, range increases. Duh

Just had 52 miles showing

Just had 52 (!) miles showing after a full charge-up.

Drove over the Cascade mountains, using Adaptive mode, and at the top of Blewett Pass it had 5 miles remaining. By the time I got to US 2, it showed 13 miles. Cruised at lower speeds (40-50mph) into Leavenworth.

So that last 20-30 miles was super efficient.

Got in, started driving, and within 5 minutes it was down to 30 as the heater was on, etc…

Nothing special about my rig, US spec, 2021 45e with pretty low miles.
