why? anything other maintenance items than oil change once a year and 1 brake fluid flush, you will need to pay. Factory warranty is following the car. So if things brake within the period, BMW will still fix it.

Maintenance != warranty, right?

Absolutely, go new, no question. There is no free lunch in the car business, you get what you pay for. Used vehicles as this one clearly is are priced lower for good reason. Go a little more and just get a new car at this point. New homes also cost more for many of the same reasons.
There is nothing like a new house or new car. Previously lived in or used is NOT the same.

Nope, only thing I paid for first three years was state inspection. On My M4CS oil and filter plus air and cabin filter are north of $300.00. Transmission and diff fluid change is $150.00, 36,000 mile Spark plugs are $350.00, so yes the new car coverage is worth some coin.

Yes, now market dynamics are changed, & the dealers are coming back to pre-2019 levels where used cars make more sense than new ones.

Here this car saving almost 17K bucks is not small & at the end of the day, its all driving style & luck. I see some people faced issues with new cars and roamed around dealerships & Off Course used ones as well.

That seems like a pretty good deal for no negotiation even required, at least if it’s mostly the specs that you’re looking for.

I don’t understand what anyone thinks the OP is getting by buying a brand new one—it would save 1300mi and include about $650 of factory maintenance. IMO that’s not worth the huge discount over new.

Evidence of such? One could just as easily claim it was driven for 1300mi by the dealer principle’s grandmother.

You have a M4. OP is talking about 50e. He only get oil change one a year and 1 brake fluid. No diff or transfer fluid on non M, also non M spark plug is at 60k. Sure I didn’t count air filter and cabin filter. Air filter is inexpensive and it is a 5 min job. Not sure how involved is cabin filter for g05. But all in all, not much for non M

I am not sure what are the cons in this deal? it is costing almost 12% less than the original cost.

Please advise.

Probably you are getting one of those vehicles that were bought back from unhappy customers.

You are more than welcome to the mysteries that accompany any used vehicle along with the hope that someones Grandma drove it to Church on Sundays.
My days of buying used are behind me and so are the nasty surprises common in that arena.

On the maintenance, around 2.5 years ago I took over 530e lease. I need to pay approx. $300 to transfer the maintenance.

If BMW bought the vehicle back as part of a lemon law claim it would be disclosed. If the dealer bought the vehicle back themselves after just 1300mi, that would be almost unheard of.

Depends on the state. In most states there would be no indication on the title that it was a lemon and the dealer may not be under any obligation to disclose it.

Yeah, never heard of a title that indicated Lemon Law buyback.
It is also widely known that you can wipe your ash with a "clean" Carfax.

Then it would no longer be clean.

Does anyone have any actual reason to believe that this 1300mi car was a lemon or abused in any way?

I would say there is no way it is a lemon since, it was a loaner or demo vehicle since there were no owners other than the dealer according to the CarFax.

You seem to have yourself convinced from the start that this is the vehicle you want and at a price you would appear to be comfortable with. Just buy it but also understand that it would not be sitting at the dealer waiting for you to make up your mind if it were that great of a "deal".

Carfax states only owner was dealer!
Dealer states it was a trade-in!
Dealer is lying or misinformed….Ultimate is transferable!
When 2 + 2 = Bullshit….something doesn’t add up with this deal. Snake oil salesmen comes to mind.
