Curious - 2025 X5 xdrive 40i. Can the speed and tach display be changed to a retro style with round dials and pointers? Or any other style?

I don't understand why the HUD and gauges cannot be altered when in sport or eco modes. If I don't want to see the useless arrow gauge thingy in the HUD in eco mode, why do they force it on me?

Same complaint on the ambient colors tied to drive mode...why can't I set eco mode to be green and not the blue that's coded in? If you are going to let users customize things, don't limit the customizations if there is no compelling reason to do so.

Considering it's one big iPad now, I'm surprised some company hasn't at least made custom skins for it. Even if you couldn't flat-out customize it yourself.

Agreed Snave01 , green for Eco makes more sense than blue. Blue fits an electric vehicle mode better.

Aftermarket s/w updates are likely iffy on the LCI, as most of the software modules are locked and require a software key to change. There's been no generic key that became available, at least yet, and maybe never. One company alluded to having one, but I've not heard from people whether it works, or to what degree.
