My 2019 X5 gas pedal broke at the base. How do I remove it from the suv? Must be some trick to it that I cannot see.

Super easy: there is a silver hex screw in middle of the bottom, could be covered by a black plastic cap to blend in. Once it's out, move the pedal up along its back a couple of inches and it will unhook. Then you can disconnect the electrical cable.

But as stated above, under a small cover, there is a screw holding it to the floor.
