2024 Spartanburg Factory Tour

We came out to visit the Carolinas for the Fall, talked the wife into scheduling the 2-hour tour for today. Kicks off in about 15 minutes.

Garage List
They used to do an annual Homecoming event for owners of Z3/Z4's which was always a good time and I appreciated their willingness to host and let us do the performance center activities and they would always give out a gift. Those were the good old days. Once they moved production to Germany they stopped hosting it.

Wow, what an impressive Operation the Factory is, with all it's busy KUKA Bots. Even my wife enjoyed the Tour and she wasn't really looking forward to it. We did the 2-hour tour that included the Press Shop after reading it just opened in June. Living in California and still working the X5 was shipped to us, but it would have been cool to take delivery here and spend a day at the Performance Center.

I went a few years ago. Well worth the time spent. An amazing facility. We were treated like VIP's; BMW club membership may have helped. As luck would have it, I was there when my X5 was being built... (didn't know it at the time). I don't know if it is still the case, but tours were by reservation only, so plan ahead.
