It looks like it's just stuck on there, like the badges. If you ask me, I'd definitelly leave it on... |

Thanks! Btw, check these two photos. I took them literally a second or two apart and it's like looking at two different cars. On one, I'm absolutelly sure it needs extra stuff on it, like spacers, lip spoiler, horny mirrors, etc., it's just...too slim.
On the other picture however, the car looks sportier, beefier...better. What gives? In person it looks good though...and I feel my previous X6 F16 was the other way around, very photogenic...Hard to explain |

I'll throw my hat in:
My car came with the iconic glow grille, but I wanted the gloss black. I got the gloss black from my local dealer, and fitted it but then felt it was all a little monochromatic up front, so I took the gloss black surround and fitted it onto the iconic glow slats. I also covered over the small slivers that are on the active shutters in black so only the slats of the grille stand out. Bonus - The glowing function still works as that is built into the slats and not connected to the surround. I may have the first gloss black surround Iconic glow. |

Most people were initially excited about the illuminated grill but eventually opted for the gloss black ... it looks way better

I do not know if anything changes for MY2021 but personally, I wouldn't delay by months & months unless an LCI was coming or something big - you could keep delaying every year waiting for the next M.Y. because progress never stops, but at some point you've got to draw a line and get a car! |

I don't know current inventories but a few months ago there was not many X5 on dealers lots so selection was limited. I would not assume this situation will change a lot so if you wait for a '20 left over, don't expect many options. |
