I have been back and forth with some here in DFW and they are lingering around 9% however it has to be off the lot and not an order so it seems some folks are doing that discount on custom orders.

I have some choices, but getting 10.5% + incentives + tint + mats + 2.99% for 60 in Houston on a custom order with delivery in Jan / Feb 2025 but likely going with $13K (discount + incentives) + 2.99 for 60 months in Dallas for a fully-loaded on-the-lot (conceding on exterior color and accepting some packages we wouldnt have chosen, but picking up this weekend).

Both of those seem like great offers to me. I'm looking for a 1.99% new deal myself. How hard was it to negotiate the 10.5% off (how much would that have been, like $9k?), or the $13k?

Florida itself doesn't really discount, but I do 8-10% depending on order or in stock with my southeastern dealer.

Cynapse it wasn't too bad to get 10+%, but things lined up in terms of timing and situation. I'm not sure if another person approached same dealership today would get the same deal. Certainly cannot hurt to try.

Here is a good lease assumption! Ok I am slightly biased..but only 30 months left. 1K miles a month allowed. Car has like 1800 miles on it…hardly being drive .

Question: seems a good discount is 8-10%, when negotiating, are you saying "I want 10% off the MSRP" or are you calculating the % and stating a specific price? So for example on a 80,000 MSRP are you saying "I want 10% off" or "I am willing to pay 72,000"? Or am I over thinking this?

Welcome to the forum. You can do either but I would say most people work in percent.
