Check with Nalley BMW. There was no financial credits when I booked from them. You can negotiate more with them. I need car on thanksgiving and they have allocations so I go with them

For a 2025 build my dealer is giving me 6.5% + BMW $2K= 9.1% overall. What is everyone seeing for a 2025 build?

What model are you buying? Discounts vary by location, dealer, model, timing, etc.

X5 XDrive40i. Chicagoland.

I feel like I am seeing people list 8-10% for dealer discounts on these cars.

That is the range you should shoot for for the 40i.

I have someone local in the Chicagoland area who can get you that discount before incentives. I just purchased a car from him. Send me a message and I’ll give you his contact information.

After some back and forth they agreed to 10% off MSRP, plus BMW Incentives (currently $2K), and 1.9% interest on a purchase. With the BMWCCA rebate, that gets an $83.5K vehicle down to around $72K.

Hopefully it comes in December and the factory rebates are better than current. $2K on an $85K car is pretty sad.

Great Job. Ask for production number from your dealer. Production number will determine which week car will be produced.

I just got my first offer for a 2025 50e. Basically fully loaded, minus extra paint cost, massage seats and some other small things. This is with no negotiating, first offer. Thoughts? I thought there was $2,000 in X5 incentives being offered for the Road Home Sales Event going on right now, but I'm not super clear on those terms. Plus a $500 military that I didn't notify them about. The car is located in AZ, I live in CA, so I'll have to pay ~$850 shipping cost to get the car here as well. Not sure if the car being on a different dealer lot hurts me here. https://ibb.co/Bw8ST0z

The discount is a bit low but not terrible. Obviously skip the theft tracker. The rebates should be $2k, $1k for purchasing and $1k for conquest. That said, check for outside financing since that will get you $4,000 for Military rather than $500.

Thanks for the reply, Turtle! Not sure I qualify for conquest, my other vehicle is a paid off 2014 Explorer.

I did read about the $4k military with outside financing, but with rates around 5.5% from what I've seen (maybe 5% if I look harder?), it seems like pretty much a wash (or near enough) on additional interest paid vs the extra savings. (2.99% would be around $4400 interest paid over 60 months, vs. $8775 at 5.5%, so a savings of ~$4375). I'd probably take the lesser headache of financing through BMW in lieu of the $375.

I plan to keep the car for a long time, 10+ years as I have for my current car. I'd buy an extended warranty, probably 70k or even a dealer sponsored plan of 10 year 100k. Maybe I can negotiate further with that on the table?

Conquest is available to anyone with a vehicle.

Like most, I highly recommend you don't buy an extended warranty. If for some reason you do want one, then do not buy it when buying the vehicle. You can shop around, we have recommended dealers, and buy it anytime prior to the new vehicle warranty expiring.

Okay, I’ve read it both ways. I know with the PHEV I want the extra coverage eventually because those will make for expensive repairs later on in my ownership. I thought the warranty price went up after it wasn’t considered “new” anymore?

Any ideas/thoughts on a counter offer? Should I ask for 10% and settle in the 8-9% range? Wasn’t sure how to get 10% off without maybe having to make an insulting offer of 12% off and meeting at 10%…I hate negotiating, so I’m glad to be doing it through email.

There is a price increase around 20k miles but you have to also consider the opportunity costs. Either way, no need to do it at purchases time.

Very unlikely you would get 10% off a 50e. It is worth a shot but if you get to 8% I think you did well. If it stays were it is at you didn't do bad.

Why is this? We have mostly Ford and FCA in our fleet and I purchase OEM extended warranty within the 1st week of purchase. I price out online and sometimes the dealers match it and roll it into the vehicle cost. They are generally in the $3K range to get to 125K miles. We get pretty close to that mileage then trade them in, all while under warranty.

I looked at extending the warranty on my M340, but I was a month out of factory warranty and BMW wouldn't offer a factory extended warranty. I got 2 prices on aftermarket warranty and they ranged from 4-6K for an extra 60K miles (38K on the car). I decided to forgo the aftermarket warranty and sold the vehicle this week...for more than I bought it for after the lease was up last year. Basically drove the car for a year and made money on the sale.

Thoughts on aftermarket vs factory warranty on BMWs? My wife drives a lot so I anticipate keeping this car 5-6 years and she will have just she of 100K miles at that point.

Vehicle service contacts (extended warranty) rarely make financial sense that os why most recommend skipping them. Where they can provide value is to those that want the peace of mind knowing that should something that is covered break they won't have to pay for it.

You should always shop around for a vehicle service contract rather than buying one when taking delivery of the vehicle. I have never seen a case where the pricing at delivery was even close to what a person could have had by shopping around.

As far as waiting, they will be a bit less expensive when fairly new however they also have your money for that much longer. Again, most recommend waiting until right before the new vehicle warranty expires but, like getting one to begin with, that os a personal choice.

If a person was set on getting one then I would say it should be backed by the manufacture. That said, there seems to be a lot of people that are happy with Fidelity so of going for a third-party that would be the one to consider.

That means you have an order with BMW. Give Genius a call and they can give you your production week.
