It is a suspension all to its own, it is not like any of the X5 suspensions. There is an X5M subforum so you may want to check that out.

I ordered it in the Chicago area. Price was the same. They try to get u to buy one from the lot. But I wanted something different than was offered anywhere near me. My tip: Go tot he highest volume dealer in ur area.

What are the "typical" "junk" fees to look out for that could be added to the deal after a discount off MSRP is negotiated? "Documentation fees" seem to vary quite a bit. Is there any reasonable range for such fees?
Thanks

Doc fees can go from $75 to $1,500 or so, they cary by dealer and state. Florida, for example, has very high doc fees and NY is fairly low.

Add-on fees can be for PPF, tinting, fabric protection, etching, etc. Say no to all of that.

Thanks

Are Doc fees also one of the fees to say no to along the same lines as etching, paint protection etc?
Or is this more of a legit fee to be paid along with TTT? Negotiated?

No, those are legit. You can try to negotiate but very rarely are they changed. Just stick with negotiating your discount and it would be a better use of your time.

Thanks! I would be taking advantage of PCD. It would be my fifth delivery there.

When shopping for my M550 last Feb, I used a broker. It saved me a ton of time and BS. I got a better price with the broker, plus I was able to put an order in with someone that had allocation. A couple dealers were promising better pricing, only to find out they didn't have any allocation. Since the vehicle was at the end of the run, I did not want to take that chance.

I am not sure when your last PCD was, but they changed the program a little. You no longer get picked up at the airport and have your first night and meals paid for. I also heard that it now adds about 4-6 weeks to pickup time due to back log of vehicles.

It was a fun time when I picked up my M550. Think BMW missed the mark cutting the program back. It's a $3K trip for us. Airfare, 2-3 nights of hotels (extra night if you get the PPF done locally), fuel for the drive back, meals out, etc. That first night really was special with the way we were treated and made the experience that much better. Putting out an extra $300-$400 that BMW cut made the delivery not appealing enough for us this time round.

I think PCD wait times definitely vary. Per my own experience (4x) it has typically added four weeks from when vehicle production concluded. I have a local friend whom has done PCD twice and has received his X3s at the PCD literally two weeks after they rolled off the line. His latest PCD was in May 2024.

This thread has been super helpful! I'm in NJ, and it's been difficult getting quotes on a 2025 xDrive40i special order. Curious if anyone else is running into this challenge in this area.

The best offer I've received is ~2.5% off. Other dealers all seem to want to know other offers I've received before providing a quote. Very frustrating.

Is it possible to get nice discounts on the m60i? Dealer offered me $2k with the mfg rebate but that’s all so far. I haven’t asked for a discount yet as I’m in the initial stages.

I am attempting to negotiate for a X5 50E and the best I can do is 8% off MSRP. Is 10% achievable here in California?

Probably not easily on a 50e. 8% seems very good for one in CA at this point.

Find another dealer. You should target 8% IMO

Just too add to the record, in PNW (Seattle and close by) its hard to get % off MSRP, talked to 7-8 dealers and best i got was 4% off with 1.99 financing at Lynwood, WA BMW and a 5% off from a dealer from Oregon. Seattle and Bellevue BMW did not want to budge off MSRP at all for custom orders.

Usually MSRP but can once and awhile get 1% or so.
