Hello and looking to get back into a BMW. A dealership in Southern Ohio has a X5M60i in stock at $102K MSRP. They were willing to do between 1% - 2% of MSRP. Curious as to what others may be seeing in Ohio or Midwest on X5M60i.

Nice and you'll be happy you got DAPP.

I am so glad I found this site. After reading some more this weekend I registered and also got the military discount. That's over $11k off which allowed me to add a few more options and still be cheaper that the local dealer.

For context for this thread, I was offered $6k off of a 2025 X5 40i build today. So for an $80k build that's 7.5%. My build was $87.5k (with Individual) so 6.9% for a more expensive build.

This was in the Houston, TX area. No pre-existing relationship with this dealer either. I told them I had an 8% discount offer for an out of state dealer

That seems to be a decent discount for your area considering it is an Individual paint.

They offered me the $6k off before we even built the spec so the Ind. paint didn't impact what they were willing to offer

Forgot to mention, I got my discount via Costco Auto Program. Worked well and super fast.

I’m getting ready to start reaching out to order a 50e. Several questions and I appreciate the many advisors on this site. I hate to negotiate but am able. Got my 2025 40i with 6.5% off and 3.99 financing. Wife says I can never be happy so here I am ready to take a punch in the mouth on my 3 month old trade in. I am in GA and can use the ATL or Birmingham areas. Also Macon. I have 70,500 in my 40i and my new build 50e is msrp 87,000. Can anyone speculate my best case and worst case OTD? Considering a broker but do they deal with the trade in piece? Thanks all!

Unfortunately, the 50e doesn't get the royal treatment of discounts. I am unsure why that is. Its not included in the 3.99% apr offer or any incentives. A few dealers around my way don't even give any discounts on it you just get it at MSRP. My current order was with a high volume dealer and they gave me 3% out of the bat, but not sure I can bring it lower. I would think negotiation is better with a high volume dealer but again not sure. Either way, set a budget for your self and do your best to get as close as you can to it.

Thanks. I have been offered 5% and 5.99 so I would just pay cash. Maybe the Macon BMW dealer has allocation

It is selling well so there is no need to support it with incentives. We have been seeing more discounting for the 50e and that likely will continue. At this time in many regions you should be shooting for 7% or so.

I had a sharp salesman ask if I was military veteran and my reflex answer is no but this time I said my dad was a deceased veteran. He said that qualified as immediate family so discount will be applied. Yall probably knew this but for those that didn’t. I still have a long way to go and if successful I will forward my info and dealer. Working with 3 now.

The dealer can't certify you for the military incentive, you will need to do that either on BMW's site, TrueCar's or NFCU's. Since you likely are not an NFCU member the easiest way would be to use TrueCar's military site and verify your status with ID.me. BMW's military site uses ID.me also but TrueCar's allows you to print the certificate without having to go through a specific dealer.

Purchased my 2025 x50e off the lot yesterday in Maryland; got 5% off MSRP and $4k military discount. MSRP was ~$86k and final price minus document fee, tags, and taxes was ~$78k.

The few dealers i have engaged are all between 2-5000 off an ordered 50e vehicle and low ball on trade. Not agressive dealing at all. Maybe I wait till December

$5k off is good. Add in the $4k military incentive and its golden. If you are willing to travel outside AL you may want to call Omar at BMW of Macon, GA for a quote. Try Carvana or Carmax for a quote on your trade.

I can't recommend going through the Birmingham dealership - they are big into saying they just don't do discounts and the price is the price, especially on a special order. Ultimately, I was able to get a decent discount and then stacked on a military discount, but it involved many hours of working at one of their tables and ultimately being willing to walk away.

For the buyer looking in the Atlanta/Macon and Birmingham markets, I would focus in on Atlanta. I think their volume is higher and my experience showed them being willing to work on price. (They will do the Costco discount, Birmingham will not.) I just didn't want to deal with the hassle of going out of state to buy. I will next time though. Buying a car shouldn't turn into an adversarial type experience. I'm okay negotiating but Birmingham pretended like it was a foreign concept.

Hey guys. Let me know what you think of this for a lease deal. 2025 X5 40i m sport with some decent options no DAPP

MSRP -$77630
7% off so now $72195
$1187 36/1000 (6500 due (first month, taxes and $1500 cap red)

Have any of you guys done BMW select finance with the balloon payment at the end?

Thanks!!

I’ve on and off leased over the years and never have I made a down payment on a lease. In SC sales tax on vehicles is capped at $500 so I pay only first month plus $500 sales tax up front. Your dealer discount looks good. Double check to see if you qualify for any incentives such as military, loyalty, etc. what is the MF? I’ve never done BMW select so can’t comment on it.
