Work with a broker like smithf80. I believe that he’s quoting an 8% discount on that model. Do a PCD and enjoy the drive home.

Alternatively, show them the broker prices and invite the dealer to match it. Walk if they won’t.

I found a dealer that will honor costco pricing. I will see if the current dealer will match.

Houston here. Got 8% off MSRP + mil incentive. I texted three dealers asking for 10%, all came back with 6%. One offered 8% a couple days later and I went with them as 8% off seems decent and in line with what others are getting.

I also initially asked for a quote on x40i, then after driving an x50e asked for same discount and they agreed no problem.

Wow, you guys are killing it...I got ~2% before rebates and they would not budge at all past that.

I'm not the guy that has to get the absolute best deal so with the other rebates and they fact that they've always been good to me in the past I'm ok with what I'm paying as I don't think it's unfair and that's all that matters. We only have a few dealers in the immediate area and honestly for me, all the time spent on trying to work the best deal, the back and forth, etc. is not worth a few grand. Time is money. I applaud those that can work a fabulous deal though - kudos!

Fair enough. I think I put in about 2-3 hours scattered over 5 days to get the 10%. Zero phone time. I wanted to buy at my local dealer for relationship purposes, but they only offered 1k discount vs. 8k...

A little research on this forum and the use of broker got me about $12K off MSRP. Granted that's with the military discount, but I didn't know I was eligible because my father served until I learned it here.

The broker does all the work for you if you don't want to spend time on it. Only costs a few hundred buck to save you thousands.

But you're right, as long as you are happy and comfortable with the deal you got, that's what matters.

I guess I should mention I am leasing so I got the military discount (my sales guy showed me how to register for that as my father has passed but I had the info) but on leases, that's $500
