The plan: once I have a delivery date, I'll make reservations for a one-way rental to a hotel close to the PDC. The hotel I'm considering has an airport shuttle so I'll return the car and call for a ride. It's only 4 hours so it'll be an easy drive up.

I have 12,364 points in Southwest. We'll never use them but one night at this particular hotel will require 12,300 pts.

Not sure how I'll get to the PDC. I'm guessing I'll take the airport shuttle and then ask the driver to drop me there. Hopefully, he'll do it for a very nice tip. Otherwise, I'll call for a rideshare.

Once that's done, I'll make my way to the Columbia SC area. My mom's youngest brother, my only living uncle, lives near there. I'll try to take him to dinner and probably spend the night at his house.

The next morning, I'll take him to breakfast and if my cousins are available, I'll take him over with me to visit them. Once we're finished with that visit, I'll drop him off and hit I-20.

I have an old boss who lives near the SC/GA line. I'll probably call him and meet for lunch before heading home.

Should be a great trip and experience in the new vehicle.

Production started yesterday but it been sitting in QC for the last 24 hours. Hopefully, the status will be updated and show forward progress soon.

Woke up to the vehicle still in QC. It’s been that way since Tuesday. When I checked again around lunch it was a 182, Awaiting carrier assignment.

PCD is scheduled for 9/25.

Travel plans are set! I’ll go to the dealer on Friday, 9/20, with our trade and a big ole check. MrsCR will join me an hour or so later to add her signature to the documents. She dislikes dealerships so the goal is to minimize her time there.

I decided a one-way car rental was the best option to get to Greenville. I’ll get it late Monday for the Tuesday drive. Hotel and other plans remain the same.

Looking forward to the drive. I’ve lived in ATL twice and I-85 north is familiar roads.

Trade-in went to the dealer, no issues. So far so good except that the only living uncle left just got out of the hospital and is in rehab for a knee issue. I doubt he’ll be able to go out for breakfast but, he’ll enjoy a visit nonetheless,
