Congratulations, looks great. The break-in is 1,200 miles. About 310 miles for the RPM limitation.

Good luck, enjoy and be safe.

Thank You! Any recommendations for the full break in? No launch? Still keep it below a 5k RPM?

Keep it below 100mph and 4,500rpm.

New to this. Appreciate if you can explain in layman terms. Why breakon is 1200 miles? What is rpm limitation? My 2025 50e going to be delivered near thanksgiving.
Thank you in advance

You don't have to worry about the RPM limitation period as that is only for the M60i.

1,200 miles is what BMW determined for the break-in. They recommend you drive the 50e in hybrid mode for the break-in period so the ICE is used at times. Obviously it won't be use the entire 1,200 miles but that doesn't seem to matter since for the 50e they don't require the ICE to be used all of the time during break-in.

Mine has been "dispatched from the factory" for a week now. That's quite a long time to get from factory to KC

I feel you on that. I just Marine tracked a ship across the Atlantic for my new 911, takes more time. But train from South Carolina to KC shouldn't take more than a couple days

Trains are very variable. Cross country can sometimes take a month or so longer than it did the month before, freight trains do not run on a set schedule.
