BMW Group stop teasing us with cool shit unless you're going to make it. And do NOT take seven years to do so.
The future is now people, let's get into it! *And while you're at it BMW Designer/Marketers can you please get rid of the "Comfort" mode name and change it to (Touring) instead, it would make much more sense! |

Will this car be about autonomous driving or electric driving or both? Will it be fully electric and compete with tesla model S? Model 3?

I read that a normal people carrier aircraft gets the equivalent of 99mpg per person. If correct, then it’s 5-6 times more efficient than anything in my current garage...

That looks pretty good. I've been away from bmw for 4 years now with Tesla and my wife's X1 isn't exactly luring me back to BMW... but this has potential.

not soon enough. BMW can still make this a segment leader if they can manage 350 EPA miles out of it, regardless of the battery size.
with that range, plus the styling, interior(better be good) and brand cachet, it will be enough to take tesla down a notch, might even solidify BMW as a sector leader. my worry is bmw won't fully commit to making this car, they are gonna end up pricing this car twice as expensive as a similarly equipped 3 series, or limit the production numbers and handwave some bullshit excuse like battery production limitation or something, and force this car into the high margin low volume sector. since they know once most people(non car ppl) get a taste of proper EV with useful long range, it'll cannibalize their ICE sales and hurt their bottom line. |

If your expecting a X1 to lure you back to BMW, you aren't buying the right car to tempt to lure you.

they just had to go and follow suit with everyone else and release yet another crossover... why cant companies just make a decent looking sedan and make it electric. instead you do a tall vehicle with a tiny greenroom with terrible rear visibility and ground clearance i dont need.
