Hey All, My 2022 X6 40i with the M sport package, is in production scheduled status. On my build out order, I selected the 22" double - spoke black wheels 742 M with performance non-flat tires. Today, I noticed online the BMW tracker instead shows my wheels as 22" M wheel 742M w/perf nonfrt and the picture of the garage online car doesn't have black rims. I immediately contacted my Sales -advisor who tells me there is a shortage of the black rims and therefore my vehicle will not be getting them. I am so disappointed. Has anyone else, recently encountered or been told this about the 22" black wheels?

Gosh that sucks. I can't confirm experiencing the same issue on a new order but I can tell you FWIW I recently ordered a set of those black 742Ms from a dealership and they gave me a timeline of 8-12 weeks and said it's usually 4-6 weeks. So that at least confirms a bit of a backlog.

This seems to be the first post that is having a issue with the black 742s. I know they are on back order but I figured BMW would just keep a supply for new builds

Update! Thank-you for the replies. My sales-advisor just called, he told me "there was a glitch in the system. We had to do something on our end for the black wheels to show up under your selected options and on your online garage vehicle picture. We also had this exact thing happen to another customer, who is in the same status as you." Just now, I logged back into track my BMW. It's now showing 22" M Double-spoke black 742M under my selected options and the black wheels on my vehicle picture. Who knows what really happened! No change in my status still in scheduled for production.

I had just the opposite. I wanted the 22" bi-colored wheels and they originally placed the order for 22" black wheels. It turned out that when the order was placed they sent the wrong code for my bi-colored wheels and they ordered Black.

They blamed it on not being easy to see in the system.
