connected-app issues

My connected-app stopped working on 4th July 2020.

I use the app a lot to remotely climatise my car and to see if the car is fully charged.

All the features in the app worked perfectly before.

Tried re-installing the app on my iPhone, re-paired phone with car, nothing works, ...

Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Did you update your iPhone ? Or a hard reset of your iPhone.

You can try if you can still acces CD on a laptop to determine if it is the phone or the app.

I had a similar issue, restarted my phone and the CD app is running as normal now but I've lost all my car apps such as driver recorder, spotify etc.

Restarted phone, uninstalled and reinstalled app. Still does not work.

Does that work?

If all those don't work it seems to be a connected drive issue. I don't know how to test the connection.

You are still in Belgium I presume? Not abroad and roaming?

They fixed my connection by phone when I just got my car and couldn't get a code.

It almost instantly worked. I hope they can do the same for you l.

You need your VIN and email / cd account to confirm it is you.

You don't have a display key I presume?

Nothing suggested works. Tried the new 'my BMW' app doesn't work either.

Called cd helpdesk, they told me to let the garage upgrade my car to the 07.2020 version.

I was going to suggest you to try that but you beat me to it.

I would try the update of Idrive. No you also have a reason to do it.

They updated my car to 07/2020.30 today.
My connected drive app works again. I can view charging status. Remotely start climatisation etc. *happy happy joy joy*


But now my Drive Recorder does not work anymore.
(also Caring car, Experience mode, that new window app but I don't care about these)

You can click the app but nothing happens.
No error message, no loading icon. Just nothing. arrgggglll
Other apps like 'country info', 'weather', 'news', etc.. do work.

Getting frustrated over all these software issues.

Just do a reset (30 sec push) and wait until tomorrow. Apparently al lot is solved over night.

I took my delivery 3 weeks ago and experienced this 3 times, after talking to Genius, apparently server to car token cycles too quickly and sometimes the car is out of sync with the server; as a result the car info disappeared from CD. Genius mentioned BMW is aware of this issue (and determine what's the best fix by extending the token cycle time). Meanwhile this issue should fix itself overtime by itself or power cycle idrive

I took delivery 3 weeks ago too. I've called Genius and CD so many times... I've done power cycles, app reinstalls, etc. Sometimes it fixes then it disappears on me once again in a day or two.
