Dipped Exhaust Tips

I decided to dip the exhaust trim from cerium grey. It gives a more sporty look to the back. $10 a can vs $400+ to install new shadow line parts. All the other trim pieces I kept the original cerium grey color which I like.

Not sure why sometimes it defaults to an upside down picture.

You should post a tutorial of how you did it.

Did you have to prep these in any way prior to painting? The plasti-dip is just a spray can, right?

Just make sure they are clean before spraying. Yes, it is just a can of spray plastidip which you can buy on Amazon.

I've have things done on the front of my Tacoma from a couple of years back. It holds up very well. good thing is it's real easy to touch back up as it pretty much self flattens out when applied.

Did mine last night I think they turned out pretty good. I painted the complete inside so it was all black.

This looks great. Did you just tape off the exhaust pipes as well as the rear bumper? So effectively just plasti dipping the small area you can see? I guess I'd be fearful of not being able to tape off the inside of the bumper properly and plasti dipping the inside of the bumper (although I guess no one would ever be able to see it).

I didn’t tape the pipes which is better so they don’t have any metal shine to them.
