Anyone running 335's on the rear?

In my quest for another set of wheels, I am wanting to get a little fatter in the rear end. (This would be on a 2021 x5.)

I sent an email to Vossen and not sure of any other reputable wheel companies out there.

Pic's and sizes of the wheels/tires you are running...

Maybe not related, but I ran 335 on the rear of my 2013 X6M with no issues. However, that tire size is very hard to find. Pirelli was the only one making that specific tire size in the profile I needed. They since stop producing them. I would check first to see what the availability is for your size and sidewall profile. I was running 335/25/22 rear. My custom rims were Strasse Forged I highly recommend them. Do you plan on upsizing your rims to 22" on all corners?

That's the million dollar question. I live in Ohio and the roads are not the best. I have even considered going down to 20" just so I would also have more tire choices.

How long have you been on this setup?
Because they are undersize to stock.

So you are pretty much going slower than what instrument cluster shows.
Also, if front to rear ratio is way off, you may damage the transfer case.
Unless if you are sDrive.

Yes, my speedometer is about 2mph off. No big deal.

Tires are within 2% of eachother front to rear.

I'm fine.

Are those Vredestein tires? How is the grip in rain?

Yes. Phenomenal. These tires are better than I expected them to be.

I had never "personally" had any experience with them as an American. Come to find out, they are hugely popular and well regarded here in Europe. They are made in the Netherlands...... Not Germany, Not Korea, Not Japan, and not China.

Couldn't recommend them any higher, honestly.

I've used Vredestein's in the past on two of my Audi and they were both great. I think I bought the first in 2008 and not many people here in the states had heard of them.

You don’t have any issue with trans? I have this same setup on my x drive 40i and I’m starting to feel some vibration or ‘jumping’ when taking off from a stop. Slow or quick. Any ideas? I can’t see why a wider setup (but lighter Vossen wheel) would be doing this.

No... None whatsoever.

As long at the overall dimensions and rolling circumference of all 4 tires is the same, it will not affect the way the transmission operates.

Since I made this video, I hit a BAD pothole, dented 1 rim, cracked another, and destroyed 2 tires. I ended up installing a taller (heavier) tire. Again.. same overall rolling diameter, but more tall stock (versus the setup in this video which was less than stock). In both cases... no issues whatsoever.

If your transmission is giving you issues... it's another problem.
