Bike Carrier and Backup Sensor

With the bike carrier in the hitch, the backup sensors prevent the X5 from reversing without turning off the camera. How can I maintain the camera and switch off the sensors temporarily? I'm thinking of adding a couple lights to the rack and plug it into the flat four trailer plug so the car goes into trailer mode. But short of that?

Maybe when reversing if you put it in trailer mode it won't do that for you. Just an educated guess.

It went into trailer "view", but the sensors were still beeping away and preventing the car from reversing.

I get all of the beeping but the car will still reverse without braking when I have my bikes on the back. I'm driving a '19 X5 40i M-Sport, with all of the "granny mode" stuff turned on, if that's any help.

Mine will allow me to proceed then suddenly slam on the brakes.
