Just got email overnight (AUssie time) from Dealer's Stock Controller that my X5 50e was 'locked in' for production and will make it's way down the production line in next couple of weeks.

Strange. My order was placed as P1 mid November and I’ll be MY25. Dealer called last week and stated that his BMWNA rep mentioned I could be out to July!! I’m not a gambler but I think I’m going to wait and possibly be pleasantly surprised. I did read the bulletin but wondering why you were built before my order. Assuming you are here in the states.

Oh wow. Until July?

I ordered around mid-November as well. Your dealer is a lot more helpful and knowledgable than mine. It seems like I have to update the situation to my dealer.

Hopefully, we don't have to wait until July.

Spoke to my SA today. Asked when he thinks allocation will be released for existing orders. Told me they have not received any allocation from the factory or production schedules yet. Anyone that has any info is just guessing at this point.

Original 105 memo states due to ongoing supply limitations 50e production continues to be delayed.

So it seems we are just in holding pattern until it opens up. I already extended my lease for 2 months. Hopefully thats enough.

Allocations were released the other week (there were only three Priority 3's) however that does not mean that all 105's have gotten their new production numbers yet. We have only had a few folks get their new MY25 production numbers.

What is priority 3?

Do some dealerships get allocations before others?

Priority 3 is vehicle ordered for dealer but no rush.
Priority 1 is a car ordered for a customer.

With the backlog of 50e orders, I'm surprised there are any Priority 3 orders being built ahead of Priority 1.

As mentioned above, Priority 3 is for dealer stock. Not sure why they threw those in there. All of the other 50e allocations were Priority 1 which would have presumably been replacements for some 105s.

No, all dealers get allocations at the same time. They were given to dealers on February 23rd.

Missed the priority 3 mention. SA stated that they did get allocations in Feb but not for 50e due to the delays. No allocations for 50e as of now according to SA.

I would guess it is going to be quite a few months until dealers are back to getting their "normal" allocations for the 50e.

I mean the post above me, not that you missed anything when asking.

I asked SA - Are you saying I could potentially be in current lease another 3-4 months? He replied I dont think so. They want to get these orders filled. Dealers want to get vehicles sold, etc. The memo end date was for April '24 so it may be end of April before things are back to as you said "normal"

All depends on the supply chain. They would have loved to get them build and sold in December but it will now be at least four months later before they do so. I would imagine BMW has some insight into the near future but can't tell the dealers or public in order to not set expectations.

I would venture to assume these delays are EV related but why aren't the standard EV's delayed? Anyone know the specific item(s) that are delayed?

I'm assuming it is battery related but they have not made the specific issue known.

You are doing the "F12" process incorrectly, likely on the wrong screen. That 200 is a html response code.

Make sure you are on the general screen and not the detailed tracking one. If you still have problems post or PM me your prod number/VIN. If you aren't in Production Begins then you will not see a date.

That could be true, they have been building some and scheduling for March as supply allows.

Here is your data, you should go to Production Begins in a week or so.

I too only saw the html response code of 200.
Following Turtle Boys instructions on the F12 process, I want to add one last step.

See STEP 6 that I think will help? TurtleBoy, is this correct?

1 Log into MyBMW and go to the main MyGarage page
2 Right-Click and choose Inspect
3 Click on Network and then Fetch/XHR
4 Refresh the page and wait until it has completed
5 Click on the first forward…. entry to get the data
6 Click on "Response"

The reason I was confused is after Step 5, the code that is displayed is under "Heading" and it took me some time to figure out you need to go to "Response" to get the desired information.

In any event, for me, I ordered the 50e in early December, moved from a January, then to a March build, then nothing for many weeks, and yesterday I moved to Status 111 with dealer telling me I am scheduled for a mid=April build (now a MY '25). Fingers crossed!

Perhaps a difference in software version or usage as mine always defaults to Response as shown in the video. Thanks, I will add that to the instructions.

Are you following the exact steps and duplicating what is in the video? Which browser are you using?
