Uneven Surface notifications
Just curious. Does anyone know why on 2024 x5 s40i idrive 8.5 the uneven surface app will “see” a speed bump going in one direction (west) but not the return direction (east)?

Does it really “see” it, or is it programmed in to the navigation unit? When I test drove a car it gave the uneven pavement message hundreds of feet away so can’t fathom it “saw it”. Seems maybe one side was reported (no idea how that works) and one side was not.

In the case of the speed bumps I would imagine it is a bug in the logic for the reporting/data collection since I have also experience the "one direction only" warning in a few different situations. I can't ever recall encountering a speed bump and getting a warning both ways.
