No, your dealer is marking them up 1%. Ask them to remove the markup and give you the buy rate. Keep in mind though, most dealers will not do that.

You're welcome. I don't know where you are in your process but if still negotiating then you will have a little more leverage especially if you shop your build around to other dealers and some of them don't mark it up.

I haven't signed anything yet. The car is still being built. I've done preliminary negotiating before submitting the build, that's all so far.

Yes I too was quoted 6.29%, put since my build is months away hopefully will get a lower interest rates as I told the dealership I want better than 6.29%.

I am interested in ordering an x5 m60. Has anybody had luck ordering at discount in the New England area? MA/RI/ NH/ ME/ CT? I’ve only called 2 dealers so far but they both were at MSRP

You can find better rates @ a variety of sources such as credit unions. NFCU is just one example.

Thanks. I'm not military, but get your point. Although I assume if you don't finance with BMWFS, they will say they can't give me the same discount. So the move may be to take their (crappy) deal and then refinance with a credit union or the like.

If an immediate family member is/was you can join even if that person is deceased. It takes a little work as you need to obtain form DD 214 which you can get from the national archives. And it qualifies you for the military discount. Check it out at navyfederal.org

Interesting. My father served, but passed away many years ago.

Same here. The form DD214 wasn’t used until after 1950 so if he was discharged prior to 1950 you can still get his official discharge certificate from the national archives. If another family member happens to have it….bonus.

There are some cases of getting a better discount when financing with a dealer but usually it seems best to negotiate your discount without mentioning whether you are are financing with them or not. Actually even whether you are leasing or purchasing. Once you settle on a discount then you can look at the various incentives as well as the financing/leasing numbers. In some cases an incentive is only available if you finance with BMWFS.

It's funny. When I bought my M3 in 2016, I was all about this process and knew all this minutia. As I've gotten older and advanced in my career, my concern has decreased and I haven't been as motivated to do all this again and just want to take the deal they are offering and move on. But you're completely correct in that being the best approach.

Please does anyone know what the increased top speed for X5/X6 M60i if you order the 22inch rims, the pricing guide says it would add 300 (space saver) and 840 (increased top speed limiter)
